Story
Libby is a sweet, playful 8–9-month-old dog looking for her forever family. She came to us unexpectedly after a friend’s neighbor threatened to have her euthanized if no one could foster her. Since coming into our care, Libby has thrived. She is fully up to date on her vaccines and, after spending much of her early life on a chain or in a crate, now enjoys plenty of freedom to play and explore. She sleeps in her crate at night while everyone is in bed, and during the day she runs in our fenced yard and explores our home. Libby is remarkably well-adjusted, happy, and affectionate. She gets along with every dog she has met and loves people, too. She will likely remain a high-energy girl, so she needs an adopter who can provide regular exercise, attention, playtime, and guidance. Our senior cat is too low-energy for her, and our 3-year-old dog prefers to be an only dog, so we are seeking a better long-term match for Libby.

Sebastian loves meeting people and other dogs, exploring the world, sniffing everything in sight, and chasing leaves on walks. He’d make a great adventure buddy for a family who enjoys hikes and outdoor fun but also appreciates a good couch potato day. When it’s time to relax, Sebastian is a professional snuggle bug who believes personal space is overrated! He’s also got a goofy, dramatic side that’s sure to keep you laughing. This smart boy has a mind of his own and is still working on his manners, so he’ll need a family willing to offer patience, consistency, and positive guidance. He can struggle with confinement, but he does great in the car and is learning that being independent doesn’t mean his people are going anywhere. Sebastian is full of personality, incredibly loving, and ready for a family who will meet him where he is and help him continue to grow. Danny is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix who is ready to trade shelter life for a home where he can stretch his legs and let his personality shine! This friendly, energetic guy enjoys attention, knows “sit” and “down,” and can be very enthusiastic when he gets out of his kennel. Danny can pull on leash, so he would benefit from a home who can provide structure, exercise, and help him practice calmer leash manners. Danny has also had encouraging interactions with other dogs! He met two dogs with relaxed tail wags and appropriate sniffing. Even when one dog became more intense and snapped at him, Danny remained relaxed and did not reciprocate. Danny could really use a home where he can decompress, burn off some energy, and show us who he is outside the kennel. Can you give this big, enthusiastic boy his chance?
