We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. Meet Celine Dion – a stunning 4-year-old Greyhound/Lab mix with a personality as big as her name! Weighing in around 58 pounds, Celine was rescued from the euthanasia list at a Houston shelter and has been thriving ever since in her loving foster home in North Carolina. She’s spayed, healthy, and available for out-of-state adoption once matched with an approved adopter—transport can be arranged to bring this superstar home to you!
Celine is joyful, curious, and always ready for fun. She brings a playful spark wherever she goes—whether it’s romping in the yard with dog friends, chasing her favorite toy, or exploring new places. Her ideal playmates are other large dogs who enjoy an energetic buddy and don’t mind a little bounce in their step. She’d also be perfectly happy as the center of attention in a home where she can get plenty of activity and enrichment.
This sweet girl is making great strides with her leash manners and training. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and settles quickly after an initial burst of excitement when it’s time for a walk. She’s eager to please and motivated by treats, which makes her a fun and responsive learner.
Celine adores people and has done wonderfully around her foster’s 12-year-old child. She gets so excited to say hello that she sometimes forgets her size—but she’s learning to greet people more gently and is improving every day. Because of her enthusiasm, we recommend a home with kids over 10 who are comfortable around playful, happy dogs.
She’s respectful with toys and food, shows no guarding behavior, and enjoys being near her humans for affection, praise, and snuggles. In the car, she may pant at first, but she’s gaining confidence with each ride—and a few more adventures will help her become a travel pro.
Celine would thrive in an active home with room to stretch her legs, regular walks, and loving guidance to help her keep growing into her best self. Whether she’s your one-and-only or joins a friendly pack, she’s ready to fill your days with laughter, companionship, and love.
