Story
Keenai is a loving, high-energy dog who thrives on companionship and being part of an active home. He previously lived in a busy household with children and other dogs, and he truly enjoys having people or canine friends around to interact and play with. He loves going on walks, spending time outdoors, and also relaxing inside with his people. Keenai is affectionate, social, and happiest when he’s included in daily life. He does best with regular exercise and mental stimulation. Keenai can struggle with long periods alone, especially at first, and would be an excellent match for a family, a home with another dog, or someone who is home more often and enjoys an active lifestyle. With the right environment, he has so much love and loyalty to give. This rehoming decision is being made to ensure Keenai can have the time, attention, and companionship he deserves. With my 12hr shifts 4days a week, I’m unable to provide that for him.

Story
we got Boy from a breeder in Tacoma Washington on Christmas Eve when he was 7 weeks. my brother found him on craigslist and saw the owner was very sketchy at meetup. the owners were heavy drug users, they were even doing some in their car when we got there. we think he might’ve been exposed to some because he’s a little more skiddish than he should be. he has 3 shots and needs 2 more I believe? i have the papers i need to double check. he’s very hyper, always running around, he loves playing tug of war. hes pretty timid with new people for the first time but he warms up the more you interact with him. we need to rehome him because my mom is sick and is getting worse so we’re unable to care for him anymore

Story
Meet Nani! Nani is a beautiful German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She absolutely adores people and is the kind of dog who will happily soak up all the attention, affection, and belly rubs you’re willing to give. Her sweet nature makes her a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal and loving best friend.Nani is also a playful, energetic girl who enjoys being active and having fun. One of her favorite games is being chased by her dog friends around the yard—she’ll zoom around happily and keep the party going! When the roles reverse and she’s the one doing the chasing, she can sometimes get a little intense, so she does best with confident, playful dogs who understand her enthusiastic style. Her ideal dog companion would be an active male dog who doesn’t mind letting Nani take the lead. She enjoys being the boss and thrives with dogs who are happy to follow her cue during playtime.Because of her strong prey drive, Nani cannot live in a home with cats.Overall, Nani is a loving, lively dog who will make an amazing companion for an active home that can give her plenty of play, structure, and affection. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited dog who will bring joy, energy, and loyalty to your life, Nani might be your perfect match. Story
Meet Rosie! Rosie is a beautiful 6-month-old Husky/Shepherd mix with a sweet personality and a bright, curious mind. She loves people and is always happy to soak up attention and affection from her humans.Rosie can be a little unsure when she encounters new dogs or unfamiliar situations, but with a little time and reassurance she relaxes and gains confidence. Once she feels comfortable, her playful puppy side really comes out. This smart girl is already potty trained and quick to learn. She enjoys having a routine and would thrive in a home that continues helping her build confidence and learn new things.Rosie does well with kids and can get along with other dogs, though she may be cautious when meeting them at first. She’s also curious about cats and may try to play with them, but she’s respectful if they set clear boundaries.Because of her prey drive, Rosie cannot be placed in a home with chickens.Rosie would do best with a patient family who will help guide her through new experiences and let her grow into the confident, loyal companion she’s meant to be. In return, you’ll get a loving, intelligent pup who will be a wonderful addition to the family. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143What her adoption fee covers:&#226&#156&#133 Spay&#226&#156&#133 Vaccines&#226&#156&#133 Microchip&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Rosie? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: $350For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMarch 8, 2026, 7:15 am
