Hi, I’m Fern! Honestly, I answer mostly to squeaky toys and snack bags right now. I’m a 14-week-old puppy, probably a Boxer/Shepherd mix (your guess is as good as ours), and I’m in full bloom — the wiggly, bouncy, endlessly curious kind. Like any good plant, I thrive on love, attention, and a little structure to help me grow strong. I’m playful, sweet, and very into my people. I’ll follow you around the house like a sunflower chasing sunlight and melt into your arms when it’s time to rest. I don’t know much yet — I’m still figuring out this whole “being a dog” thing — but I’m eager to learn and always down for a challenge (especially if treats are involved). I’ll need plenty of training, consistency, and patience as I grow. Right now, I’m basically a tiny tornado of paws and promise. But with the right care? I’ll grow into something really special. So if you're ready to raise a puppy, get your hands a little dirty, and help something wild and wonderful take root — I just might be your girl. Let’s grow together. I weigh 15 pounds and my adoption fee is $300, it includes registration of my microchip, a sample of my food, new leash/collar and toy & treat packet. I am spayed and vaccinated.

Story
Remy is 2 years old and is pure love in dog form. He absolutely lives for playtime and has the happiest, most playful spirit. Whether its playing with toys, running around outside, or relaxing on the couch after a fun day, Remy is a sweet dog. Outside, his favorite things are playing ball, carrying sticks, and chasing around with the other dogs. Inside, he transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug. Remy will happily soak up every cuddle, snuggle, and bit of affection you're willing to give. He adores human interaction and thrives on pets, attention, and being close to his people. On walks when he he sees other dogs, he can become a bit reactive (barks and pulls) Remy does best with dogs he knows and is familiar with, and once hes comfortable, he loves playing and spending time with them outside. He is very food and treat motivated, which makes him eager to please and a joy to work with. Admittedly, with a 6 month old, we are not able to give Remy the time and energy he needs right now.

Meet Flacko ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Flacko is a neutered , 8 month old male German Shepherd Dog mix, weighing around 40lbs. He is in a foster home in Houston , TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. Handsome Flacko is a a certified good boy! He LOVES people, dogs and really wants the foster cat to be his buddy. He may have too much enthusiasm for most kitties to enjoy however. He’s a quick learner & he just wants to please you. All he’s missing now is his forever person! This energetic pup is a bit of a wild man when playing with his dog friends (15-60lbs), but is great at reading their cues and respecting their boundaries. Flacko got an A++ from Doggie Daycare Playgroups and enjoys snuggling with a smaller puppy friend. Flacko has been great with his foster’s 10 year old nephew and they feel he’d enjoy a human sibling to play with. He is working on his puppy manners, jumping and pulling on a leash, so would need to be supervised around the smaller kiddos. After a rollicking play session, Flacko loves getting cuddle time with his people, rolling over to show his belly! He is a HUGE fan of pool time and will entertain himself with his favorite toys. This good boy is house and crate trained and will flourish with an experienced adopter that will help him navigate the world with confidence. Flacko is ready to win your heart, and we can’t wait to watch him grow up in a loving forever home! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him? Meet Tommy – The Gentle Giant with the Million-Dollar Smile Tommy is a 3-year-old, 75-pound German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his grin. He was rescued from an overcrowded Houston shelter and came to us extremely shy, fearful, and unsure of the world- likely the result of a very troubled past. For months, he needed very patient, gentle fosters to help him feel safe. Because he was given that time, love, and consistency, Tommy has blossomed into the sweetest, calmest, most loyal companion. But it’s important for future adopters to know: Tommy absolutely requires a slow warm-up. He needs people who understand that trust for him is built quietly, steadily, and on his timeline. Once he lets you in, though… it’s magic. In his foster home, Tommy quickly found comfort in his kennel, learned to use the doggy door, and chose an elevated bed as his favorite spot. He’s a slow-paced, easygoing guy who loves lounging on the porch, stretching in the sunshine, and - his signature move - lifting his face to sniff the breeze with a big, content smile. Tommy will likely thrive best in a home with another confident, friendly dog. He adores following another dog’s lead, which helps him feel braver and more secure during new experiences. As his foster family, we LOVE Tommy deeply. We are committed to being an ongoing resource for his success. If, for any reason, the adoption isn’t the right fit, please reach out - we will gladly take Tommy back and continue fostering him to ensure he finds the most perfect home. If you’re looking for a calm, gentle soul who will be your quiet shadow, your breeze-sniffing porch buddy, and your loyal friend once he trusts you, Tommy may be the perfect match you’ve been waiting for. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. This girl has been through more than any dog ever should—and somehow came out the other side with nothing but love to give. Rescued from the streets along with her puppies, we believe Sophie was hit by or thrown from a moving car. She bravely underwent FHO surgery and completed heartworm treatment, and now she’s ready for the happy ending she’s waited so patiently for. Sophie is fully house-trained, crate-trained, walks beautifully on leash, and rides like a champ in the car. She is not a constant player and prefers low interaction, setting boundaries when needed. She may be nervous initially, so slow introductions are recommended. Sophie has been around older children and enjoys playing with them; a home with respectful kids ages 10+ would be ideal. Her behavior around cats is unknown. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Marshia is a spayed, 2 year old female German Shepherd Dog mix, weighing around 56lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. Miss Marchy is very spirited, fun loving, ditzy gal! She LOVES to play & is besties with her foster’s 93lb brown lab & their parent’s 65lb golden retriever. She has only played with larger dogs, but did great meeting a neighbor’s shepherd puppy. She can play a little rough sometimes, loosing coordination when running and cannonballing into her playmates, so larger pups are ideal. Although she doesn't always do well following her playmate’s social cues, she will stop & come to you if you call for her. Marshia shares her toys well with her pals and does not get offended easily. She does take some time to warm up to new dog friends, so slow introductions/seperation are advised at first. It won’t be long before she considers them part of her circle, and will be snuggling up with them for slumber parties! She does not react to other dogs while on a leash or in public, heeling next to you while they pass. This sweetie hasn't lived with any children during her time as a foster, but has played well with the neighbor’s children ages 5-14. We would recommend children over 5 only because she may knock them down with her clumsy ways. Marshia has a high prey drive, so cats are a pass for her. Marshia is fully house broken & crate trained! She enjoys time in her crate, considering it her safe spot. She usually falls asleep by her foster’s bed before heading into her crate to snuggle with her beloved toys. She roams free when her people are home & they have only had 2 small instances of her chewing up some pinecones & a cardboard box. Out of caution, the dogs are always feed separately for safety, but Marchy has never shown any signs of food aggression or resource guarding. She takes treats very gently from your hand & loves to show you her shake or spin (dance) for a treat! Although she loves her food, she sits & waits for her "get it" command before eating her meals. She is extremely intelligent & will do amazing protecting your household while providing a loving & cuddly companion! She believes she is a lap dog and will just lean on your legs for pets all day if you let her. She will make sure you’re never lonely, following you around the house like a silent shadow. Marshia is always happy to meet new human friends, even at the vet! Marshia is a bit of an athlete and thinks swimming is the best! She would love to join you on all of your outdoor adventures, especially if there’s a lake. A back yard with a tall fence would be ideal as she can jump VERY high. She would enjoy another dog of her size or larger to play with, but would do great as an only child if her parent/parents are active & can give her lots of love & attention! This sweet girl is the total package and is ready to love you forever! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? This is Doc! Doc is a very energetic German Shepard. He is just over a year old. Me and my wife have had Doc since he was about 4 months old. Doc is house trained, has had obedience training, and crate trained. We have spent quite a lot of money and time attempting to live in harmony with Doc. Our life style with a new born baby has been difficult to navigate with him. He has never been aggressive towards us and has never bit anyone. However, Doc lacks confidence which has made socializing almost impossible. Doc is very loving towards us and it breaks our hearts to be attempting to rehome him. But I know he could be a good dog/best friend to someone who has time and love for him. The bad is this, due to Doc being unconfident we have had difficulty finding friends or family that can watch him without us being there. He has growled and nipped at babysitters he is uncomfortable with. If you have the time and love for him, please contact me at (xxx) xxx-xxxx . Feel free to text or call.

Belgian Malinois Mix 2 years old Male 63 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Dog selective Cats · No What My Friends Say About Me: Whether it’s zooming around the park or playing fetch until my tail can’t wag anymore, I’m always up for an adventure! There’s nothing better than curling up next to you after a fun-filled day. I promise to shower you with love! I’m eager to learn and would thrive with positive reinforcement training. The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I prefer to be your one and only furry friend, as I’m not really a fan of sharing my home with other dogs. I’m not a fan of cats or small animals, so it’s probably best if we skip them altogether! I’d do best in a home with kids over 10 years old. My adoption fee is $240 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
This sweet boy came into my home about a year ago after his previous family could no longer keep him. I’ve spent that time training and working with him, and he’s made great progress. He’s a good dog with a lot of potential, but he needs more time, space, and structure than I can provide long-term. As a Dutch Shepherd / Border Collie mix, he’s highly intelligent, driven, and eager to learn. He thrives with purpose and would be a fantastic work dog or active companion for someone who enjoys training and an active lifestyle. His recall is excellent, and he responds well to clear boundaries. He can get along with other dogs, but would likely thrive most as the only dog, forming a strong bond with his person. An ideal home would be with someone experienced with working breeds, with a large yard or land, and excited to continue building his skills.

The moment I met her I thought, “Wow, this girl is sharp.” Then her foster started sharing more about her and I knew, without a doubt, she is one smart cookie. Give her video a quick watch -it will help you picture her in your home as you read the rest of her bio. https://youtu.be/t4LesdOQSRg Feah is estimated to be around 5–6 months old and is very likely a shepherd/Malinois mix but given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or birthday. She is everything you’d expect from an intelligent working-breed youngster- quick-learning, playful, people-oriented, and always ready for whatever the day brings. In her foster home, Feah is house trained, crate trained, and comes preloaded with a handful of commands and tricks. Her brain is always “on,” but it does go into stand-by mode, and she thrives when you give her something to learn, solve, or navigate. She’s the type of dog who will make incredible strides with an adopter who enjoys teaching, bonding, and watching a clever dog grow into herself as your absolute dream side-kick. Feah’s natural play style is joyful and energetic- she loves to play fetch, romp, chase, and bounce with other dogs. I recently got to see her join a playgroup where she met a wide variety of new dogs. She played beautifully with a big male beefcake, a bouncy female, and a wild male malinois mix. She held her own, joining in play and hoping out when she got overwhelmed by a bigger, pushier dog who just pushed play to a more physical style that she didnt care for. But even then, her approach was very polite. Her social approach is friendly and curious, and with dogs who communicate clearly and play with intention rather than chaos, she shines. She would do wonderfully with a confident, balanced, medium-to-high energy dog who can handle her playful enthusiasm and help her learn dog etiquette as she matures. Like many smart pups, Feah feels excitement deeply. You can sometimes see it in stimulating new enviornments and she will express herself by barking but with guidance, she settles quickly. What matters most is that she responds extremely well to direction. A moment of guidance, a quick reset, and she’s back to checking in, using her brain, and making good choices! It is really impressive to watch! She’s still figuring out what to do with all her fading puppy feelings, but her willingness to listen makes her a dream for someone who enjoys shaping a young dog into something amazing. Feah is a dog with opinions, energy, and a brilliant brain. To set her up for success, she will do best with an active, engaged family. She’s not a couch-potato dog- she wants movement, training, an occasional swim and partnership. She is also best suited for a house over an apartment. She has great basic leash manners but a busy apartment setting may be too stimulation while she is learning how to navigate busier area, passing dogs, elevators, etc. No cats for Feah please. Her love of chase would not be appreciated by a feline roommate. She is an ideal dog for someone who enjoys guiding a smart dog. She’s a Malinois/shepherd-style thinker, quick, sensitive, and deeply bonded. If you cant already feel it, here is why you will love Feah! Imagine being adored, having a dog who will look at you with bright eyes and wait for the next direction. She will work hard for you, play hard with you, nap hard afterward, and learn more in six weeks than most dogs learn in six months. I cannot say enough about how beautifully balanced she is! All those smarts do not come at the expense of her loving side. She is affectionate and people-focused without being pushy or overwhelming.
