Hi, I’m Fern! Honestly, I answer mostly to squeaky toys and snack bags right now. I’m a 14-week-old puppy, probably a Boxer/Shepherd mix (your guess is as good as ours), and I’m in full bloom — the wiggly, bouncy, endlessly curious kind. Like any good plant, I thrive on love, attention, and a little structure to help me grow strong. I’m playful, sweet, and very into my people. I’ll follow you around the house like a sunflower chasing sunlight and melt into your arms when it’s time to rest. I don’t know much yet — I’m still figuring out this whole “being a dog” thing — but I’m eager to learn and always down for a challenge (especially if treats are involved). I’ll need plenty of training, consistency, and patience as I grow. Right now, I’m basically a tiny tornado of paws and promise. But with the right care? I’ll grow into something really special. Take a second to sit back & relax, meet Molly Mae! Molly went on an exciting road trip with her foster brother last year in hopes to find her forever family. Although she hasn’t found them just yet, we know they are out there somewhere! On her trip, Molly traveled over 3,600 miles in a car. Woah!! Not only is she totally interesting and ready to share all of her world traveling stories with you, but she’s most of all looking for love. The first thing you will notice about this girl is how intelligent she is. Molly is also nothing short of an impressive performance dog with her sit, down, and touch skills. She also has amazing recall, and has mastered “heel” and “leave it” when she passes by other dogs on her daily walks. Molly is a big fan of her daily routine, and she hopes you will help her create a new one in her new home. The girl knows what she likes! She is calm and relaxed when you take her out. When you want her to go back in she just walks right in! She is very food motivated and loves a good treat (don’t we all!). She even let a 4 year old train her! She sat for him, and waited patiently for him to share some of his yummy cheese stick. Molly is not the jumping around ball of energy type, she is respectful of her surroundings and the people in it! Little tiny kids can be a little overwhelming with all of the bouncing and kid friendly chaos, so we believe Molly would do better with kids 7 years and up. Or children that will be able to understand her boundaries. Family coming over to visit with younger kids should not be a problem for her, this is just something she prefers! Mollys interest in treats would make for a super fun training session! Molly is the perfect example of a dog that is just happy to be with you, no matter where you are. Molly really likes to bond with her people. She is so loyal and loving, when her forever family comes to get her I have no doubt it will be the happiest day of her life! She would be happy to stay home and put around the backyard too! Speaking of homes and yards, this girl needs one! Having a structured area for her to play and mosey around in would be her dream. Molly does not need another dog in the home, but if she were to have one she prefers to be with more submissive, medium energy males that will participate in her similar play style. If you appreciate the softer things in life, then you will definitely love our friend, Faith. Faith is the type of girl who makes beauty out of the mild glimmers of the world. Her eyes are soft and hold a depth that you can’t help but want to discover. Even her ears flop a bit and showcase how wonderfully unique and special she is. We believe that Faith is around a year old and a shepherd mix of some sort. She weighs approximately 46 pounds and is a growing girl. She has the most beautiful earthy soft color palate of a coat. She's a moment of fresh air and sweetness. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But nevertheless, Faith is a girl that you definitely want to meet! She’s definitely a polite girl who doesn’t want to come across as overbearing or desperate for attention. She observes new humans respectfully for a moment before letting her true, beautiful personality shine. And accepting gentle love to match her gentle energy. What was a beautiful thing to experience was watching Faith blossom when the other dogs came into the yard to meet her. The timidity slowly melted away and her playful nature came out to shine with tail wags and a game of follow the leader! Faith lives at home with a variety of foster dog siblings of various ages and breeds and sizes. She’s definitely a dog’s dog and would do well with other medium energy dogs that will give her the moments she needs to bloom in her future home. When it comes to cats, Faith is calm but very interested in feline friends. She doesn’t live with any cats, but when she met our housecat Biggie, she gave him lots and lots of cautiously curious sniffs. It was actually the most interested I had seen her the entire visit! As sweet as she is, due to her peaked interest in kitties, it would be best if she was in a home with no cats. We understand the importance of precious personal space for our kitty friends. Even when she met our big boys Blaze and Xen (9) she was just as mild mannered and gentle with them. She didn’t overbear them with wild energy and jumps. She just let them pet her and was patient as they doted on her. She would do well in a home with bigger, older kids who can respect the needs of a polite, medium energy, canine lady. I’m a 14-week-old puppy, probably a Boxer/Shepherd mix (your guess is as good as ours), and I’m in full bloom — the wiggly, bouncy, endlessly curious kind. Like any good plant, I thrive on love, attention, and a little structure to help me grow strong. I’m playful, sweet, and very into my people. Molly is not the jumping around ball of energy type, she is respectful of her surroundings and the people in it! Little tiny kids can be a little overwhelming with all of the bouncing and kid friendly chaos, so we believe Molly would do better with kids 7 years and up. Or children that will be able to understand her boundaries. Family coming over to visit with younger kids should not be a problem for her, this is just something she prefers! Mollys interest in treats would make for a super fun training session! Molly is the perfect example of a dog that is just happy to be with you, no matter where you are. Molly really likes to bond with her people. She is so loyal and loving, when her forever family comes to get her I have no doubt it will be the happiest day of her life! If you appreciate the softer things in life, then you will definitely love our friend, Faith. Faith is the type of girl who makes beauty out of the mild glimmers of the world. Her eyes are soft and hold a depth that you can’t help but want to discover. Even her ears flop a bit and showcase how wonderfully unique and special she is. We believe that Faith is around a year old and a shepherd mix of some sort. She weighs approximately 46 pounds and is a growing girl. She has the most beautiful earthy soft color palate of a coat. She's a moment of fresh air and sweetness. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But nevertheless, Faith is a girl that you definitely want to meet! She’s definitely a polite girl who doesn’t want to come across as overbearing or desperate for attention. She observes new humans respectfully for a moment before letting her true, beautiful personality shine. And accepting gentle love to match her gentle energy. What was a beautiful thing to experience was watching Faith blossom when the other dogs came into the yard to meet her. The timidity slowly melted away and her playful nature came out to shine with tail wags and a game of follow the leader! Faith lives at home with a variety of foster dog siblings of various ages and breeds and sizes. She’s definitely a dog’s dog and would do well with other medium energy dogs that will give her the moments she needs to bloom in her future home. When it comes to cats, Faith is calm but very interested in feline friends. She doesn’t live with any cats, but when she met our housecat Biggie, she gave him lots and lots of cautiously curious sniffs. It was actually the most interested I had seen her the entire visit! As sweet as she is, due to her peaked interest in kitties, it would be best if she was in a home with no cats. We understand the importance of precious personal space for our kitty friends. Even when she met our big boys Blaze and Xen (9) she was just as mild mannered and gentle with them. She didn’t overbear them with wild energy and jumps. She just let them pet her and was patient as they doted on her. She would do well in a home with bigger, older kids who can respect the needs of a polite, medium energy, canine lady. Angelina the ballerina is her name and she is as sweet as the name makes her sound. She is a gentle girl with a soft side for people and a budding love for toys. Her favorite toy? Angelina has the slightest bit of shyness in new environments, she is young after all so it is understandable. When introduced to new dogs she a touch shy but that quickly melted into fun. Within five minutes she was playing chase and bouncing around as happy-go-lucky as could be. Angelina has solid basic leash skills and is very attentive, pair that with her age and she is prime for learning and training. The favorite time I spent with Angelina was once we were inside where she warmed up to a group of people who had all come to visit her. She played with a tennis ball, greeted everyone, and happily enjoyed some treats. While inside we did get to hear her “voice.” Whether she is just talkative or was responding to a dog outside, her vocal side means apartment life isn’t for her. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
