SAMWISE "Sammy" (1 year old, male)
Such a sweet boy and loves his mom, Scout, so much :)They sleep
together and groom one another. Would love to see them adopted together or into a home where he would have a calm companion who won't bully him in play. He loves pets and cuddles once he feels confident in his surroundings.
Also talkative and LOVES food, he will pull the food bowl towards him when I'm trying to fill it! Loves playing with balls and fabric nylon hair ties.
Definitely takes cues from his brother and mom. Love to watch birdies from their catio!
Shows interest in other kitties, but definitely shy initially.
Sammy is:
-Playful, curious and
affectionate!
-Socialized with dogs of all
sizes, all of them will comfortably approach a dog and share my bed with them so if you have dogs, they will do well with them!
-fully vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and spayed/neutered.
- been exposed to my other cats in small amounts and display interest, caution, but ultimately curiosity. I think they would all do well in multi cat households or as solo kitties if they have someone that can give them lots of love.
- Have been fed a high quality diet of NULO indoor duck & cod grain free food + wet food since day one with me.
THE STORY:
I rescued a very pregnant
Scout from a sewer drain in
DTLA during the Los Angeles fires. She gave birth to a litter of four, and the two most outgoing ones were adopted by a coworker as soon as they were old enough to leave mom.
Sammy and Moses have always been more shy/skittish and so l decided to keep them longer to socialize them more thoroughly and set them up for success in future homes. Just as I was getting ready to adopt them out, I tragically lost my soul kitty and went through a long season of heavy and intense grief and depression that completely took me out of the game.
l've continued to care for them and now that I'm back on my feet, I'm ready to find them their forever homes!!
