Gepetto is an 8-month-old fixed torbie. We have to admit, she is so quiet that sometimes we forget she is in the room. This timid feline is just looking for her perfect home. She likes to snuggle up with blankets in her cat bed. She is a watcher. She likes to sit at the sidelines and watch her feline friends be silly and go about their business. That being said, she loves to receive attention too. She perks up when people are nearby, seeking attention. She does have an interesting personality trait. She likes to roll over and sleep upside down, belly and paws up. She will tuck her head in for a good night's sleep. We find it quite amusing when we walk past her room and see her snoozing upside down in her bed or at the window. Yoki used to be shy when she first came to the shelter. It took staff days to get her to a point where she didn't feel like she had to hide all the time. After much convincing, Yoki finally began to learn that not all humans are mean. She learned that humans can give love and affection. Now, she is confident and friendly with everyone. She loves to rub against you for attention. Back in February, she was fixed and ended up having a sleepover with a staff member who was not completely confident in her ability to function properly after her spay due to medication. She did wonderfully with the other cat in the home. She was very respectful and responsive to the other cats' warnings. The next morning, she was promptly adopted. She unfortunately had to come back because one of her owners had an allergy. So her happy little self settled into the shelter much faster than before.
