💖 Curious, Sweet, & Loves Belly Rubs! Meet Orchid the Tortie Kitten. Looking for a beautiful, adventurous companion to brighten your days? Meet Orchid! True to her name, she is an absolute beauty with a gorgeous tortoiseshell coat and an endlessly curious spirit. The Quick Facts: Personality: Curious, sweet, and adventurous. She takes a brief moment to assess new situations, but warms up incredibly fast—especially if snacks are involved! Special Superpower: Unlike most cats, Orchid absolutely adores belly rubs once she knows you. Cat Friendly: Yes! Orchid is highly social with other felines. What Orchid is Looking For: Orchid is looking for a home where she can continue her daily explorations. Because she is a social butterfly, she needs to go to a home with another resident cat to keep her company. If you are looking for a pair of kittens, Orchid would be thrilled to be adopted alongside her beloved brother, Ant! 🖤 Gentle & Playful: Ant needs a patient heart to help him shine! Meet Ant, a stunning black-and-white kitten who is searching for a very special forever family. Ant is currently in a foster home learning that the world is a safe place. While he is still building his confidence around humans, his sweet personality is beginning to emerge more and more every day! The Quick Facts: Personality: Quiet, observant, and gentle. He loves to be near his people and watch the daily action, but prefers having a safe "escape route" or hiding spot where he can decompress when needed. Favorite Hobbies: He is a huge fan of the "Track of Wheels" ball toy and loves to roughhouse and wrestle with his sister.Cat Friendly: 100%! Ant relies heavily on other cats for confidence and cannot be an only pet. What Ant's Ideal Home Looks Like:Ant is looking for a quiet, patient household that understands the rewarding process of earning a shy kitten's trust. Because he does not do well alone, he must be adopted into a home with another welcoming resident cat, or adopted as a pair with his confident sister, Orchid (who would love to show him the ropes!). How to Adopt:Ready to give this handsome boy the safe harbor he deserves? Please go to Shelbycats.com/adopt to apply.

Story
Adoption Fee Reduced for December! Say hello to Buddy! Easygoing and Friendly are two words that perfectly describe him. Back in 2019, Buddy was fostered by his current foster mom. He was surrendered back to AOSC through no fault of his own and was adopted. No fault of his own was surrendered a second time in 2024-- he would love to find his FUREVER home. Buddy has a luxating patella, and it is causing arthritis in his knee. He has been responding well to Solensia shots, but that is an ongoing expense prospective adopters should be aware of. His foster mom has this to say about him: "Before coming back to me as a foster, Buddy was up for adoption at an adoption center, but was terrified at that particular adoption location. As soon as I brought him home, he has been nothing but sweet and affectionate! It has been fun fostering a previous foster of mine! Buddy loves human attention and loves to rub against your legs and be petted. He wants to be wherever YOU are! His foster home has 2 adult cats and he gets along with them very well. His last home he also got along with the other adult cat in the home. Buddy is curious and loves to sit and stare out the window. He LOVES Catnip and his favorite treats are Catnip Temptations! As a matter of fact, his favorite toys are filled with Catnip too! Buddy is a Good-Natured fellow who prefers to keep his space clean, including no bad litter box habits. This Handsome, Affectionate boy will be a great addition to a new family, and hopefully find the forever family that he deserves! Buddy is currently in a foster home. If you feel like he would be the perfect fit for your family, please consider visiting shelbycats.com/adopt to begin the application process!
