Meet Chalky and Rusti! A delightful pair of two-year-old Domestic Shorthairs currently living in Hot Springs, AR, whose days are filled with playful wrestling matches, cozy cuddles, and curious little adventures side by side. Chalky, a charming tabby boy with an adorable white nose and Rusti, his beautiful tabby sister with her soft white accents, is never far behind, weaving around him like a warm breeze. These two have spent their time exploring the great outdoors, lounging on sunny porches, and pouncing on feather toys with their bright, observant eyes! They may be a bit nervous around new faces or sudden sounds, but with patient words, gentle movements, and a few tasty treats, they blossom into affectionate little shadows who meow for attention and rub against your legs with all the love they’ve been waiting to share. Both are incredibly smart, picking up on routines quickly and learning the subtle language of their humans’ kindness and care. You’ll often find them wrestling each other like tiny lions one minute, then curled into a peaceful, purring heap the next. They adore feather toys, dangling ribbons, and any game that lets them use their natural athleticism and quick reflexes! As a bonded pair, they need to remain together, bringing double the joy and warmth into a new loving home ready to let them grow into confident, loving indoor companions. Chalky and Rusti are neutered and spayed, and they’re dreaming of a calm, supportive family who will help them leave behind porch life for sunny window sills, soft beds, and endless chin scratches! Their future pet parents will have the privilege of witnessing their transformation from skittish felines into confident, loving best friends. Could your heart and home be the safe haven where Chalky and Rusti’s story unfolds into a lifetime of snuggles, playful sprints, and gentle purrs? Meet Wolfie! A spirited one-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently in Austin, TX, who started out as a tiny gas station kitten and grew into one of the most affectionate, funny and devoted cats you could hope to meet! Wolfie loves her people completely. She curls up in your arms, rides around over your shoulder, and follows you from room to room just to be part of whatever you are doing. At night she sleeps pressed against you, and in the morning she licks you gently awake until you take the hint that it is breakfast time! She is playful, talkative and endlessly curious. She answers to her name with a soft little "mrow," as if she is holding up her end of the conversation. She loves wand toys, hide-and-seek, birdwatching, and, inexplicably, watching the toilet flush. Wolfie also loves having animal friends. She has lived with both cats and dogs and will play with them, cuddle beside them and even groom them. She has a big personality packed into a little tabby body: confident, sometimes bossy, playful and deeply loving! Wolfie is a special-needs kitty, and if your household fits the bill, she may be a wonderful match. She has feline hyperesthesia (FHS), a neurological condition that causes episodes of overstimulation and requires daily medication and some extra care. Her family has learned something encouraging along the way. Her environment makes an enormous difference, and her FHS is far more manageable when she has the things she needs. Her ideal home is one where she has a secure catio or another safe way to spend plenty of time outdoors. Outdoor time has made the single biggest difference for her and has dramatically reduced her episodes. She also does best with at least one friendly cat or dog for companionship, since she genuinely thrives around other animals, and in a household of two or more people, ideally with someone who works from home or is otherwise home much of the day. Her medication is given two to three times a day and is simple to administer, mixed right into her food! Her daily routine is refreshingly straightforward: breakfast and medication in the morning, then plenty of time lounging outside in the catio while the weather allows, with her humans and animal friends nearby. These are not simply preferences for Wolfie. When she is indoors for long stretches without enough stimulation or companionship, her episodes become more frequent. With regular outdoor time, animal companionship and a predictable routine, the difference in how well she does is remarkable! Wolfie needs a little more than the average cat, and she gives so much in return. She is the kind of cat who wants to sleep pressed against you, greet you at the door, answer when you call her name and make herself part of your everyday life. If you work from home or are simply a homebody, already have a friendly pet, and have a catio or safe outdoor setup, you may be exactly the person Wolfie has been waiting for! Could your home be the place where her love, playfulness and gentle spirit continue to grow? To learn more about welcoming Wolfie into your life, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com! Looking for a family with other fur babies and/or someone to spend time with Soni. She is a 6mo old orange tabby cat….very playful and loving. I have had her for 4 months and absolutely loved having her around. My work travel schedule is becoming quite challenging and is causing separation anxiety in her. There is no one else in the area I can ask to take care of her in my absence. She comes with litter box, bed, toys, food and water dispenser, and some supplies. $100 rehoming fee.
