Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy livesâ&#194&#128&#194&#148 but they have a much shorter life expectancy than FeLV negative cats. Over time, an infected cat's health may progressively deteriorate or he/she may experience repeating cycles of illness and relative health. Close monitoring and regular vet care are important to manage the disease. Any close contact among cats can spread FeLV, including bite wounds, mutual grooming, or sharing feeding dishes and litter boxes, so they should be housed without other cats or only with other FeLV+ cats. Because DPA believes these special cats still deserve to live out their lives in a loving home, the adoption fee for FeLV+ cats will be discounted 50%. Theodora is a stunning cat with mesmerizing eyes that tell a story of quiet resilience. Theodora came into our care cautious and wary of people, but her patient foster has given her time and space and she's really blossomed. She's very affectionate in your lap and has so much love to give. She still likes having her own room and space to sleep in. Theodora will make a fantastic side kick for someone!
