Story
I found Bug in the wheel well of an abandoned car in Hoh rainforest when I was working as a NPS ranger. She was tiny and emaciated - the vet I took her to the same day said she was found in the nick of time (he’s the one who identified her as a Pixiebob). With worming, shots, lots of food and tlc, she has gotten to where she is thriving physically (13-14 lbs). She is still very emotionally needy - loves me and can be affectionate, but she’s very territorial. I have another smaller cat to whom she’s taken an intense dislike, and I fear for the little one’s safety. I believe Bug will do well in a house with adults where she’s the only cat. She doesn’t take to strangers quickly, but when she’s given time she likes to interact with them

She is fearful and shy, and would do best in a calm, patient environment where she’s allowed to settle in at her own pace. Blair would be well suited for a barn home where she can live safely with minimal expectations while benefiting from shelter, food, and gentle human presence. She may also do well in a quiet indoor home with an experienced adopter who is committed to continuing her socialization using time, patience, and positive reinforcement. While Blair isn’t ready to be a cuddly companion just yet, she has the potential to grow more confident in the right setting. If you have a safe space and a big heart for a cat who needs understanding more than anything, Blair could be the perfect fit. 🐾
