CHARLIE: Plott Hound mix/Neutered Male/8 months old/25 lbs. CHARLIE, is a very cheerful and affectionate dog. He comes from a home where he experienced abuse, but he still likes being around people. He sleeps in a crate, gets along with other dogs, is not destructive, enjoys going for walks in the park, and shares his bed without any problem. He's an energetic dog, but walks and Playing helps him release his energy and keep him calm. He enjoys car rides, which he loves. Every dog deserves a safe and loving home — adopt a rescue dog today. Maya is a gorgeous, loving, and energetic two year old girl who aims to please and loves affection. She is tall and athletic, and loves running, playing, and chewing. She also loves to dig to reach the roots so wood chew toys are great. Maya loves being outdoors and makes an amazing camping companion. She protects the home and announces cats, squirrels, and humans. She is house and crate trained (a treat is expected!) but prefers being outside during the day and sleeping in the indoors crate for naps and overnight. She does not spend unsupervised time inside the house but snuggles on a couch like a champ. Maya knows basic commands and is an agility whiz. A painful decision. She is a lover girl and deserves much joy. Adoption fee will be donated to Caravana Canina. Maya was rescued as a young puppy in the outskirts of Oaxaca by Caravana Canina (see Instagram). She just turned two in October and I have had her since April of 2024. An open adoption would be great, but is not required.

His sleek, dark coat, soft floppy ears, and soulful eyes tell the story of a dog who’s known love — and who’s ready to find it again. Though technically a senior, Rocko moves with the ease and energy of a much younger dog. He has plenty of adventures, walks, and snuggles left in him, and he’s determined to make the most of every one. Rocko’s story is as heartbreaking as it is inspiring. He was surrendered to a county shelter by the only family he’d ever known after they moved away. He waited, confused and heartbroken, in a place that’s especially hard on senior dogs. When The Misfit Ranch heard about him, we knew we couldn’t let such a wonderful boy fade into the background — so we brought him into our care to give him a second chance at a forever family (for real this time). And what a reward it’s been! Rocko is the perfect companion — calm, affectionate, and endlessly loyal. He’s fantastic with people, gentle with kids, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. He’s already house-trained and crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is content to curl up beside you after a stroll. Kona is turning 5 years old. She is a very lively and loving dog, and is truly loyal. She is super friendly to other people and tends to try lick their faces. Kona loves her treats and toys (Mainly treats as she is very treat motivated). I’m looking for a home for her that is truly going to cherish her and welcome her to a family. I have a hard time letting go of her, but I believe she needs to find a home as I am in the Marine Corps, and I feel guilty and selfish that I can barely spend time with her.
