Mango is not just fun, she's smart too. She's housetrained and has a curious mind that's always eager to learn. Mango is brave, unafraid of new experiences, and her friendly demeanor makes her a joy to be around. However, Mango is selective about her doggy friends, and she requires a home where her high energy can be channeled positively. With Mango, every day is an adventure. She's ready to fill a loving home with joy, laughter, and lots of tail wags. Her foster describes her as a "medium Velcro dog, meaning she wants to be around her people but won't follow you from room to room. She likes playing with other dogs after a slow introduction, but her social skills need work. She would do well with a tolerant dog sibling whop can help her learn to be more polite. Mango has a high activity level but will settle when her needs are met. She is very adept at escaping fences, but won't do so when she gets enough play time/exercise. Lily is a beautiful young Plott Hound/Mix. She&#39s estimated to be around 1yr old, and weighs 33lbs. This sweet girl ended up at an overcrowded Atlanta shelter after she was running around a trailer park in Conyers, GA with her sister (Millie) and they were both picked up as strays. They both ended up very sick, and were at risk for euthanasia list before BarkVille Dog Rescue stepped up for them. Lily is now completely healthy and is ready to find her forever family! Due to her past, she is a little shy and fearful until she gets to know you. She is friendly with other dogs, and is crate trained and house trained. Lily has a medium energy level. She is working on her leash manners, and is learning her basic commands. Lily would love a home that would continue to help her gain confidence, and work on her basic training. She would also do well in a home with another friendly dog. Lily is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Meet Obi! Thanks to our great buddies at ATL Atlanta Lab Rescue - who also work tirelessly to help dogs that aren’t lab-ish at all - at tiny Upson County Animal Control ….OBI was saved. About a month ago they were on the euth list one day - ATL said they’d grab and save him and board him for us until we had a spot. OBI means heart - and he’s got a special one - a bundle of brindle beauty- he’s truly striking and so smart. Obi looks very plott and catahoula and is around 6 months and 35 pounds (as of Sept 2024). We adopted Lu from the Atlanta Humane Society in Alpharetta ~ 3 years ago. Lu is very expressive and warm with family members. While she likes to play outside, she prefers to spend more time inside. Lu is a food-motivated dog and is always happy to get a treat or sit by you when you have a meal. Lu went away for a couple of weeks of training when she was a puppy and learned basic commands. Lu roams free in our home and is put in a dog cage when we have errands. Lu does not perform well in situations where she encounters unknown dogs or new people and prefers to be in environments with known stimuli. When walking in the neighborhood, Lu will be reactive when viewing other dogs. We are relocating to Europe and believe the transition will be too difficult for Lu. We are hopeful to find a home where Lu can be primarily an inside dog, hopefully, get plenty of exercise in environments where she does not encounter unknown dogs, and can share her love with her new family.
