Story
Hi, I’m Jubal! I’m a 3-year-old American Leopard Hound with a whole lot of love to give! I adore being close to my people — and I mean as close as physically possible. If I’m not getting pets when I think I should, I’ll throw my head back and give the most dramatic little cry to remind you!I walk very well on a leash and I get along great with other dogs. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate shadow who loves attention and companionship, I might be your perfect match! Currently, I am available for adoption. If you`re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 or Friday and Saturday 1-5. All of my love and kisses, Jubal /(^.^)\",AVAILABLE"

Story
Charm is a playful 9-month-old Catahoula/Hound mix with a gorgeous spotted coat. She's also the perfect size—only about 35 pounds and likely not getting much bigger. She's very playful, affectionate, inquisitive, and incredibly smart. In just a few days, she's already learned basic commands like "Sit," "Kennel Up," and "Okay" and is ready to absorb more and more if you devote a bit of time on a daily basis to her training. Charm LOVES toys, tug of war, fetch, walks, and especially playing with other dogs. She'd be happiest with a playful pup sibling or a tolerant dog who doesn’t mind her silly wrestling moves. She would not do well with a senior dog or a dog that does not like playmates in their face, as she wants to play SO badly, that she overlooks respecting personal spaces. She adores pre-teen and older kid shenanigans—they’re the most fun in her book! She can be vocal and insistent when she doesn't get her way, but this is her way of communicating and is harmless with no ill intentions. She's fully crate-trained and goes into her kennel without issues when asked. She does great with potty, as long as on a consistent schedule (she even bumps the door handle when she needs to go out), and is very food motivated, which makes training fun and easy, and she takes her treats and rewards ever so gently. Like most puppies, she can be jumpy or a little mouthy when excited, so she’d do best with a family that understands her puppy tendencies and can help her polish her manners with positive direction and reinforcement. A home with toddlers may not be suitable, as her jumping may knock them down. Charm is ready to charm her way into her forever home, so apply for her TODAY ! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Blue is a very good dog. Catahoula husky mix so he is very smart. My family is growing with humans (kids) so we need to downsize our pets. Blue would make a great dog for beginners or advanced dog owners.

Story
Our family will be moving, and due to needing to downgrade our lifestyle and move in with other family members, we are unfortunately unable to take our wonderful 2-year-old dog with us. He is a male Catahoula Leopard, neutered, and up to date on all of his shots. He is great with kids, and we’ve made several attempts to rehome him, but have been unsuccessful. At this point, we are hoping to find a safe and caring environment for him.

Story
Meet Shorty -- a very sweet boy with a big heart! Shorty is a happy, loving little guy who just wants to be close to his people. This adorable 1.5-year-old Catahoula Leopard/Beagle mix, weighing about 44 lbs, was saved at the very last moment from Polk County Shelter. He&#39s a truly special boy with striking heterochromia--one warm brown eye and one beautiful blue--that make him unforgettable. At first, Shorty was scared and unsure, but once he realized he was safe, his personality blossomed. Now he&#39s full of love, kisses, and tail wags! He&#39s still a bit shy, when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and shows his affectionate side in no time. Shorty adores other dogs and loves running around the house with his canine friends--he fits right into the pack! He&#39s also cat-friendly and doesn&#39t bother them at all. He&#39d be happiest in a home with another friendly dog to keep him company. Shorty is crate-trained, potty-trained, and learning his leash manners like a champ. He has a low to medium energy level and enjoys a mix of playtime and snuggles. While he&#39s a bit nervous getting into the car, he absolutely loves the ride once it&#39s underway. And don&#39t let his short legs fool you--this little guy can really move! Shorty is the perfect blend of gentle, loyal, and fun--a wonderful companion ready to bring joy to his forever family. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet boy, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.December 10, 2025, 12:29 am
