Meet Obi!  Thanks to our great buddies at ATL Atlanta Lab Rescue - who also work tirelessly to help dogs that aren’t lab-ish at all - at tiny Upson County Animal Control ….OBI was saved. About a month ago they were on the euth list one day - ATL said they’d grab and save him and board him for us until we had a spot.  OBI means heart - and he’s got a special one - a bundle of brindle beauty- he’s truly striking and so smart. Obi looks very plott and catahoula and is around 6 months and 35 pounds (as of Sept 2024). Great with other dogs and pretty much everyone, he is ready to be cherished and find their forever family!   Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org   PLEASE NOTE: RMG requires an adult dog in the home for all puppy adoptions ##2180310##

Story
This distinguished gentleman is Linc! He arrived as a lost boy at the shelter on 7/24, and no one has come to reclaim him. The volunteers have enjoyed getting to know this sweet boy and they describe him as friendly and treat-motivated. He LOVES when the volunteers come to get him out of his kennel for walks. If you're looking for a walking buddy, Linc still has lots of pep in his step! Linc isn't a fan of being in the shelter; he's confused and restless being in this environment. Linc has some patchy fur, but with medicated baths and a little TLC he'll be looking and feeling his best in no time at all. If you're looking for a mature and chill dog to join your family please come meet Linc! Linc is approximately 8 years old, and he weighs 65 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he has been neutered. He will be microchipped and heartworm tested upon adoption. Linc is waiting in run 407; his ID # is 660577. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Lily is a beautiful young Plott Hound/Mix. She&#39s estimated to be around 1yr old, and weighs 33lbs. This sweet girl ended up at an overcrowded Atlanta shelter after she was running around a trailer park in Conyers, GA with her sister (Millie) and they were both picked up as strays. They both ended up very sick, and were at risk for euthanasia list before BarkVille Dog Rescue stepped up for them. Lily is now completely healthy and is ready to find her forever family! Due to her past, she is a little shy and fearful until she gets to know you. She is friendly with other dogs, and is crate trained and house trained. Lily has a medium energy level. She is working on her leash manners, and is learning her basic commands. Lily would love a home that would continue to help her gain confidence, and work on her basic training. She would also do well in a home with another friendly dog. Lily is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.October 2, 2024, 3:52 pm

Story
Marie is a real go-getter.  She loves an active life, she loves the water and would like a family who can help her get out her energy and share her zest for life.   She is a little cautious with new people but warms up quickly.  No litle kids for her because she is bigger and high energy.  Bigger kids are okay. She does need to be an only pet. Age: 2 years  Weight: approx 60 lbs   Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and heartworm negative   Temperament: not good with other dogs or cats, initially cautious with new people, best with older kids.  Training: House trained, crate trained, some well trained.  Contact email:  Sheltersxshelvesrescue@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded, and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself October 3, 2024, 9:18 am

Story
Ahoy there! SeaBiscuit here, looking to sail away to a good home! Landlubbers say I have gorgeous coloring and am rather unique looking (I would say aye to that.) I narrowly escaped being euthanized for space at an overcrowded shelter but a kind family saw my photo and decided to foster me. Talk about lucky!! Here are a few things to know about me. I am an energetic mate but settle down quickly. My fosters say I just melt into them and can’t get enough cuddling and snuggling. I am good with their teenage daughter and love her so much. I am friendly, playful, fun, know sit, give kisses, affectionate. I am house trained and crate trained. I know sit, lay down commands and I am working on touch, focus, turn, and stay commands. What else do you need to know? I have enjoyed the company of other dogs at the shelter and am trying to make friends with the dog in my foster home, except he’s taking his time to get to know me. I was going to put this message in a bottle but people tell me the internet is faster. So, please consider me, SeaBiscuit and allow me to sail into your home and heart! Check out my YouTube Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/cv12D8OLm5s Age: 2.9 years Weight: 62 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm  negative and on prevention Temperament: Good with other dogs.  Good with older, respectful kids.   Training, House trained, crate trained, knows several commands  Email for questions: sonaligokhale@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
