Story
Lobo is such a lovable, gentle soul. He absolutely loves other dogs and people. Loyal and easy going, he's the perfect companion for humans and dogs. He is allergic to chicken as a protein in his food and is using fish as the main protein, he’s definitely gaining the weight he needs! He is finding his voice and does do some barking. He loves to play and has learned tug of war, both with humans & other dogs. Lobo loves treats and to cuddle and gets so excited over everything. We are still working on him not jumping on people, but still also trying to allow him to be a dog. He may eat your food if it’s within his reach, but he has gotten a lot better at that (he was starved when we found him). Lobo does great on a leash (harness/leash) and enjoys walks. He is a little anxious and still getting used to everything going on in the world. He does get nervous in car rides and will pee, but we’re working on that, too. He does great being left out (of the kennel) over night and so far, up to 5-6 hours, but also does great if he’s put in the kennel. Lobo gets a little nervous at night when I open the back to door let them all pee before bed and sometimes will need you to walk out there with him while he does his thing (I think he was left outside before he was abandoned and afraid you’ll leave him out there). He doesn't mind the rain, either! Lobo pays attention to what the other dogs do and follows suit! He can eat at the same time, right next to the other dogs and they all respect each other’s boundaries. He is great waiting in line for his treats, too! He is good with baths and trimming his nails. He can sit, lay down, & stay. He is the perfect fit if you’re wanting another dog to keep your current dog company, without starting at the puppy phase. He has great energy. Age: 2 years WT: 41lbs. Temperament: Good with all people and dogs. Vetting: neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative Training: House trained, crate trained, knows a few commands, For questions, please email hmlid14@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. April 26, 2024, 9:18 am
