But there is so much more to Romero than his good looks. This 2 year old, happy, active boy is always ready for whatever the day has in store. Whether it's a long walk, a game of fetch, or exploring in the yard, Romero approaches life with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. He would love a home that enjoys staying active and making memories together. One of Romero's favorite things in the world is spending time with other dogs. He lights up when he has canine friends to play with and would do wonderfully with another playful dog or a family committed to keeping him social and engaged. At the end of the day, Romero is looking for what every dog deserves: a family to love. In return, he will fill your days with laughter, loyalty, sloppy kisses, and the kind of companionship that makes every adventure a little better. ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Tuesday 2-6pm, Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. - Fill out an online application to adopt by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d - We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. - We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.

Stella is a little girl only 35lbs and around 18 months so she won’t get any bigger She has the best ears and likes to be a little goofy! Dumped in the deep woods by some lowlife with another little dog, she was very lucky to be found. She’s great with other dogs, loves people, and has been around older children, she doesn’t jump up, and has an energy level of about 7/10 with a bit of couch potato thrown in too. She’s also house trained.

Rocky has just arrived to Rhode Island from Houston and is all set to go to his forever home. He is a very handsome mutt puppy, shepherd and Plott Hound seeming the closest mix approximation we can come up with, lol, but what is clearer is that he is cute as a button with lots of color and adorable big ears :) He is tiny right now....he somehow photographs far bigger than he appears in person....but a baby, only 8 lbs and we are guessing he will mature to a large medium or small large? He is a very sweet boy, loving to cuddle or gently and playfully chewing on your fingers (he still has all his baby teeth) being his two favorite hobbies to date, lol. He will steal your heart and needs to learn all the ropes, but summer is the perfect time and he will bring much joy to some lucky family. Southpaws is happy to maintain its adoption fee at $450, but unfortunately due to state restrictions is unable to adopt to residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire. She's a 78lb catahoula leopard dog mix. She's a large lady but she KNOWS that she's a large lady. She's not a bull in a china shop, she's not chaos incarnate, she's not the ringleader of a three-ring circus that's on fire. Despite her name, she's a polite, even-tempered girl with actual MANNERS. She's definitely a sporty girl and she's athletic and will need regular exercise but she's not the kind of dog to parkour off of you or bounce off of the walls.Calamity is about 5.5 years old so she's full grown and a mature, responsible adult...she would pay taxes if she could. She's extremely intelligent, knows her cues, and she's fantastic on a leash, especially for a girl of her size. She LOVES toys and will literally play fetch with herself. She's an attention-seeker and LIVES for attention from people and has no issues with befriending strangers.Calamity does NOT like cats and she's choosy about the dogs she gets along with but has been fine with them for the most part. We're asking that any kids in the home be 12+ just because Calamity was found as a stray so we have very little history on her and don't know if she's ever been around children.Calamity is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
