Story
MEET CLYDE! Clyde is a young active boy who came to us from Louisiana. Before traveling to us, he was fostered in a home where he was reported to be a great house guest! He was working on potty training, crate training, and some basic cues. He would love to continue to work with an adopter on positive reinforcement training. If you`re looking for an adventure buddy to welcome the spring season with, Clyde might be your pup! Check out his video: Clyde is currently up to date on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped and has been seen by our veterinarian. For more information on Clyde any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy kidsCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesTrotter is a sweet and loving dog! This handsome brindle boy is pretty laid back, enjoying running around as much as getting his belly rubbed. Trotter is looking for a home where he can be his affectionate, goofy self and soak up lots of love.Trotter thinks that meeting new people and dogs is the best thing ever. He goes right up to both to say hello and see if they want to play with him. Trotter has met kids and loves to play with them, too, so he would do fabulously with dog-savvy kids who enjoy canine attention. He likes to play with squeaky toys to entertain himself.Trotter is crated consistently during the day and overnight. He sometimes wants the encouragement of a nudge or a treat to go into his crate, but then settles immediately for a good snooze. Trotter is house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in foster. He walks well on his leash and takes corrections easily. Trotter already knows “sit” and is a quick learner, so he will likely have fun learning new skills.Trotter is a big ball of love with one of the best smiles around. Are you ready to see that smile every day? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Story
Meet Dixie — the brindle beauty who was worth the wait! Dixie’s story began when she was just a tiny newborn. She, her siblings, and her devoted mama were brought into rescue for a fresh start. While several of her littermates were adopted through another rescue group, sweet Dixie had to patiently wait for her moment to shine. And shine she absolutely has. Now 8 months old, Dixie has been thriving in her foster home alongside a 12-year-old girl and two canine foster brothers. She has proven herself to be a well-rounded, happy pup who fits beautifully into family life. While she may still fill out just a bit, we believe Dixie is very close to her ideal forever size.Dixie loves to play fetch and happily enjoys time romping with other dogs. She’s incredibly affectionate and never passes up the chance to give her human foster family plenty of sweet kisses. She is crate trained like a pro, walks nicely on leash, and is fully house trained — making her an easy and wonderful addition to a lucky home. And let’s talk about that coat… Dixie’s stunning two-toned brindle makes her truly one of a kind. She turns heads everywhere she goes!Dixie has waited patiently for her forever family — now she’s more than ready to bring her sunshine, snuggles, and playful spirit into a home of her very own. Story
Just look at this smile! Sometimes we struggle to come up with words to describe how handsome Romero is. This active and happy guy is always ready for his next adventure. He loves to stay busy and would thrive in a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and getting out to explore the world together. Romero is especially fond of other dogs and truly shines when he has canine friends to run and play with.
