Meet the Walmart Parking Lot Puppies! 🐾Sometimes the right people just happen to be in the right place at the right time. A group of young women from the University of Tennessee soccer team spotted these puppies being sold in a Walmart parking lot in Tennessee. One of their moms is a longtime animal rescuer in Memphis, so they knew they couldn’t just walk away. Thanks to them, these puppies are now safe and have a real shot at the bright future they deserve!These two adorable Plott Hound mixes are about 9 weeks old and are pretty much what you’d expect from puppies: fun, curious, mischievous, busy, and equipped with LOTS of teeth! They are going to need families who understand that puppies require time, patience, training, and plenty of appropriate outlets for all that puppy energy.Both puppies love other dogs of all sizes, are kennel-trained, and are already showing us they are very smart little cookies. They are expected to grow into 60–70 pound adult dogs, and with their gorgeous brindle coats, we think they are going to be absolutely stunning.KitKat is a little more independent, but don’t mistake that for a lack of affection. She loves to play, explore and figure things out, and she’s also happy to settle in for some snuggle time. She’s brave, smart, and naturally curious, and she should be a lot of fun to train.Twix (listed separately) is the bigger snuggler of the two. He loves exploring, following his nose, playing with toys, and then finding a lap—or at least a spot right next to you—for a good puppy nap. He’s affectionate, curious, alert, and already showing off that classic hound personality.They have received their first puppy vaccines and will be due for their second set in about three weeks. Once they are ready, they’ll be heading to New England to find their forever families.These puppies are at the perfect age to start learning all those important life skills, so their adopters should be ready to make training a priority. While their adoption donations are often reduced, their veterinary costs are typically much higher.When you adopt a young, healthy dog or puppy, you're also helping us give another dog a second chance.
