Just look at this smile! Sometimes we struggle to come up with words to describe how handsome Romero is. This active and happy guy is always ready for his next adventure. He loves to stay busy and would thrive in a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and getting out to explore the world together. Romero is especially fond of other dogs and truly shines when he has canine friends to run and play with. He would do wonderfully in a home with another playful dog or with a family committed to keeping him socially and physically engaged. In exchange, he will shower you with sloppy kisses and endless love.  ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. - Fill out an online application to adopt by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d - We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. - We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.

As a rescue, We do not euthanize dogs but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter. KHALEESI is a sweet PRINCESS dog friendly, playful and loves playtime. Humans have let her down ☹️. Okie needs our help! He's a sweet Plott Hound who was rescued and cared for a man who didn't have the means to treat him so he was brought to a shelter in Louisiana who also is hurting for funds and have an overcrowding situation. Okie is coming to Save A Dog! He needs a leg amputation and we found a surgeon who will do it. We appreciate donations to help with Okie's transportation and surgery. He's a very adoptable five year old dog who has plenty of life left in him! We would love an adopter who either has tripod experience or is willing to learn. Application is at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you. He currently weighs 40 lbs. so is a little guy.
