Just look at this face! Between his stunning markings and that smile, we struggle sometimes to come up with the words to describe how handsome Romero is. He is a 2 year old, male, Plott Hound mixed breed. This active and happy guy is always ready for his next adventure. He loves to stay busy and would thrive in a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and getting out to explore the world together. Romero is especially fond of other dogs and truly shines when he has canine friends to run and play with. He would do wonderfully in a home with another playful dog or with a family committed to keeping him socially and physically engaged. In exchange, he will shower you with sloppy kisses and endless love.  ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. - Fill out an online application to adopt by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d - We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. - We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. This is a dog who was named perfectly! Happy is just that, happy! This sweet, joyful girl will bring a grin to your face and fill your home with love. Happy would love a doggy playmate and if possible fenced in yard to romp in, or perhaps doggy daycare as she is a medium - medium/high energy girl. She learns fast, but could use a little leash manners brush up! Happy is a snuggly girl who loves to hang out with people, she'd love to run errands or go on hikes with you. Meet Foxy Brown! This 3-year old long and lanky beauty is the sweetest bite of brown sugar and spice and came to us from local animal control after being found as a stray, having recently had puppies. We are scratching our heads as to how this unapologetically awesome mama pup was wandering alone, because she is freaking amazing! Mamas are known to be nurturers and Foxy is no exception. And while she was a perfect guest at animal control, she was starting to get antsy and was definitely ready to leave kennel life behind.  What we have discovered…Foxy has been all about family and can’t wait to find her very own tribe (dogs…welcome! Cats…no thanks!). With her gangly legs and unreal sense of smell, we assume this beauty is part hound. Plott hound? Treeing Tennesse Brindle? Your guess is as good as ours!  Foxy is a whole lot of woman (in the best way possible!)! She has an elegantly long neck, pure cinematic swagger, and a soft brindle coat that has undertones of caramel, toffee, and milk chocolate wrapped into one swirl of foxy goodness. And those amber eyes! A window to her wise, old soul that is on display for all to see. She is a really affectionate dog who loves to be close and has an obvious vintage glamour that is irresistible.  Foxy has been enjoying the safety and predictability of her foster home, and above all else, she loves to be part of the action. Is anyone really a stranger? Foxy greets new people with friendly wags and a feminine fearlessness. She is eager to settle into her forever home and will make a welcome addition to a lucky adopter! Because of a lack of history, older or no kids would be best for this femme fatale.  Foxy Brown’s top 3 priorities: 1. Our Lorelei is a soft-hearted little sweetheart with soulful eyes and the gentlest personality. At just 6 months old and 27 lbs, this beautiful mixed-breed girl is still very much a puppy, but already showing what a loving companion she’s going to become. Lorelei was surrendered to a North Carolina shelter along with her siblings, Hopper and Arthur. Her DNA results came back as an adorable “melting pot” mix — primarily several types of Hound blended with Retriever and a sprinkle of everything else that makes rescue dogs so wonderfully unique.  She can be a little timid when first meeting new people, but Lorelei warms up quickly once she feels safe. Underneath that shy beginning is a total cuddlebug who wants nothing more than affection, reassurance, and a family to love. Lorelei has a wonderfully gentle temperament and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She would thrive in a patient, loving home — especially one with another friendly dog to help build her confidence and show her the ropes. This sweet girl is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart before you even realize it.  Lorelei in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed.
