She is recovering nicely from a front leg amputation. She is so sweet and friendly! Treasure is a happy girl and will make a great family pet. She has had a rough start and we couldn't leave her to grow up in the shelter. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

So, yes, I am named Elsa - after THAT Elsa, too. :) I was found in February in San Antonio when the temps were below freezing and pipes were bursting and things were just not going great for many in San Antonio... Luckily for me, a kind man and his family took me in so I didn't have to stay out in the cold any longer. I am a sensitive girl - yelling and loud voices scare me. I am a 1-year old, female, large-sized (60-99lbs) Plott Hound mix! Being as I lived most of my life near the freeway I've seen lots of different things! And I love them all! Riley is a 7 year old spayed, female Catahoula who came all the way from Louisiana to find her forever home in Minnesota. Sadly Riley was living the best life in Louisiana with her mom and dad and four fur-siblings, see Lacey-Doberman, Buddy-Doodle, Roman-Doberman and Callie-Doberman. Riley's human dad was killed in a motorcycle accident and while her human mom tried to continue to support the crew of 5 dogs with food and vet care, it became to difficult for her and she made the decision to surrender all 5 dogs to rescue to ensure they could have good lives. All 5 dogs lived harmoniously in the home with zero issues. If they could be adopted in pairs or more wonderful but this is not required. These dogs are all super friendly and love other animals. They are housebroke and gentle. Not super high an needing energy release but just wanting companionship and love.
