Story
Gloria is 5.5 years old, 50 lbs "Fantastic Fido: The Outdoorsy, Foodie, and Social Canine Sensation!" Woof woof! I'm an adventure-loving, farm-ready pup that's always on the move. My name? Well, let's just say I'm known as Gloria When it comes to the great outdoors, count me in! I'm a natural-born explorer, always sniffing out new scents, chasing butterflies, and investigating every nook and cranny . With my keen senses and hunting instincts, I'm always on the lookout for exciting things to discover and investigate. Who needs TV when you've got the great outdoors, right? Speaking of food, I'm a bit of a connoisseur. . I've got a discerning palate and a preference for home-cooked meals. Real chicken, beef, or fish? Now we're talking! There's nothing like a delicious, homemade feast to satisfy my hunger and keep me fueled for my adventures. But my foster mom now has me eating high quality dogfood as well, so I'm not as picky as I used to be. And let's talk treats! I'm not one to easily fall for just any treat. It's got to be the good stuff - real meaty goodness! Chicken, beef, or fish treats? Yes, please! I'll wag my tail and give you my best "puppy eyes" for those tasty morsels. One of my many talents is getting along famously with other dogs. I'm a social butterfly, always ready to make new furry friends and have a blast playing together. I've got great doggy manners and know how to play nice with others. After all, life's more fun when you've got a pack to run with! With my boundless energy and athleticism, I'm always up for some action. I love to run, jump, and play to my heart's content. Staying cooped up inside a house is just not my style. I need wide open spaces to stretch my legs and let my adventurous spirit soar. I've been known to give my paw-rents a run for their money when they try to keep me indoors - I'm just too full of life and excitement to sit still for long! But don't worry, I've got some good manners too. I know when it's time to do my business and I'm always cooperative when my paw-rents need to take me outside to pee. I've got a bladder of steel and can "hold it" like a champ! So, there you have it - the "Fantastic Fido"! I'm a fun loving, treat-demanding, adventure-seeking pup who's always ready for some outdoor fun. If you need a furry companion to join you on your outdoor adventures, look no further. I'm your girl! Woof woof!

Story
Meet Brisket🤎🐾🤎 Brisket is a dashing brown hound with soulful eyes and a heart full of love. This handsome guy is a true people-person (or people-pup!) who thrives on human affection and belly rubs. He's dog-friendly and always up for making new four-legged friends. His favorite pastimes include chasing tennis balls and snuggling up with his beloved stuffy toys. And let’s be honest—Brisket has the kind of swagger that makes you think he owns a pair of blue suede shoes and maybe a vintage record collection. He’s got that cool, crooner vibe with a tail wag that says, “Thank you, thank you very much.” Whether he's trotting beside you on a walk or curled up for a cozy nap, Brisket brings joy, loyalty, and a whole lot of tail wags to every moment.

Story
I got Tokyo in January of this year from the local shelter and she has been the most amazing addition to our family. She is a ball full of energy who loves to play and run around but also loves to snuggle at night. She is fully house trained but loves going outside or playing at the park with her friends. She has a goofy personality, loves people and other dogs. It breaks my heart to have to find her another home, but unfortunately due to the military I have to move and can’t take her with me but the last thing I want to do is have to bring her back to the shelter. I’m looking for a forever home for her with someone who can give her the love and attention that she deserves!

Story
Penny came to us as a stray, but she didn’t stay a stranger for long. She quickly made friends of the staff and volunteers. This sweet, friendly girl loves getting pets, cuddling on the couch, and being close to her people. She also enjoys walks and seems like the perfect adventure buddy in the making! Penny is about 1 year old and around 35 lbs. She’s on the smaller side, has a medium-length coat, and a distinctive curly tail. While she looks a bit like a Plott Hound, her exact mix is a mystery. She will need some potty training, but Penny is eager to please and very treat-motivated. She has a gentle, submissive personality and does her best to be polite with both people and other dogs. We think she’d do great with kids and other dogs, but meet and greets are always recommended. With a little structure and basic training, Penny will make an incredible companion. She’s affectionate, playful, smart, and loyal… and ready to find her forever home!

******Please note, once you complete the initial screening, you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks, and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Dipsy, 1.5 years old, neutered male, black mouth cur and plot hound mix, 64lbs. Dipsy is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Dipsy is a tall, dark, handsome introvert with perfect natural eyeliner, soft soulful eyes, and fur so smooth you’ll want to pet him (please do—he loves a good brushing). He’s a mysterious-but-goofy boy who proudly digs through toy boxes like an archaeologist on a mission to select the perfect one and rolls in the grass like he’s checking into a luxury spa. Dipsy takes time to bond, but once he trusts you, he’ll wake you with gentle paw taps and his deep “Barry White” morning voice. He loves to play—sometimes a little too enthusiastically—so he appreciates help remembering to take cooldown breaks. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes, plays politely with cats when he’s bored, and does best with kids 10+ since he’s still working on toning down his excited “love pinches.” Dipsy is housebroken, crate trained, respectful around food and toys, fantastic in the car, but might steal a snack off the counter. He also loves sliding himself under your desk like a big furry foot warmer, “talks” when you come home like he’s giving you a full recap of his day, and once in a while stares dramatically into the distance as if he’s in an indie film. His ideal home has adults or older kids, ideally another dog friend, and people who enjoy walks, playtime, and letting an introvert unfold at his own pace. If you’re patient, loving, active, and appreciate a beautiful, quirky, soft-hearted boy Dipsy might be your perfect match. If you are interested in adding Dipsy into your family, please fill out the adoption application below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
