Story
Gloria is 5.5 years old, 50 lbs "Fantastic Fido: The Outdoorsy, Foodie, and Social Canine Sensation!" Woof woof! I'm an adventure-loving, farm-ready pup that's always on the move. My name? Well, let's just say I'm known as Gloria When it comes to the great outdoors, count me in! I'm a natural-born explorer, always sniffing out new scents, chasing butterflies, and investigating every nook and cranny . With my keen senses and hunting instincts, I'm always on the lookout for exciting things to discover and investigate. Who needs TV when you've got the great outdoors, right? Speaking of food, I'm a bit of a connoisseur. . I've got a discerning palate and a preference for home-cooked meals. Real chicken, beef, or fish? Now we're talking! There's nothing like a delicious, homemade feast to satisfy my hunger and keep me fueled for my adventures. But my foster mom now has me eating high quality dogfood as well, so I'm not as picky as I used to be. And let's talk treats! I'm not one to easily fall for just any treat. It's got to be the good stuff - real meaty goodness! Chicken, beef, or fish treats? Yes, please! I'll wag my tail and give you my best "puppy eyes" for those tasty morsels. One of my many talents is getting along famously with other dogs. I'm a social butterfly, always ready to make new furry friends and have a blast playing together. I've got great doggy manners and know how to play nice with others. After all, life's more fun when you've got a pack to run with! With my boundless energy and athleticism, I'm always up for some action. I love to run, jump, and play to my heart's content. Staying cooped up inside a house is just not my style. I need wide open spaces to stretch my legs and let my adventurous spirit soar. I've been known to give my paw-rents a run for their money when they try to keep me indoors - I'm just too full of life and excitement to sit still for long! But don't worry, I've got some good manners too. I know when it's time to do my business and I'm always cooperative when my paw-rents need to take me outside to pee. I've got a bladder of steel and can "hold it" like a champ! So, there you have it - the "Fantastic Fido"! I'm a fun loving, treat-demanding, adventure-seeking pup who's always ready for some outdoor fun. If you need a furry companion to join you on your outdoor adventures, look no further. I'm your girl! Woof woof!

Story
Rajah is a beautiful 1-year-2-month-old Plott Hound with a gentle heart and a story that has made her a little shy at first but once she feels safe, her loving personality truly shines. Rajah had a rough start in life, so new people and environments can make her a bit nervous initially. She just needs a little patience and kindness while she learns she’s safe. Give her some time, and you’ll discover the real Rajah: a total snuggle bug who loves being close to her people and soaking up affection. One thing that helps Rajah feel confident is having dog friends around. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a friendly canine companion who can show her the ropes and help her build confidence. Because fast movements and lots of noise can still feel overwhelming, little kids can be a bit scary for her. Rajah would do best in a home with older children or an adults-only household where she can relax and continue to blossom. Rajah is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with her people. Watching her go from shy observer to affectionate cuddle buddy is incredibly rewarding, and she’ll repay your patience with loyalty, love, and plenty of cozy snuggles. If you're looking for a sweet, sensitive pup who just needs a little understanding to become your most devoted companion, Rajah might be your girl. --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Dipsy, 1.5 years old, neutered male, black mouth cur and plot hound mix, 64lbs. Dipsy is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Dipsy is a tall, dark, handsome introvert with perfect natural eyeliner, soft soulful eyes, and fur so smooth you’ll want to pet him (please do—he loves a good brushing). He’s a mysterious-but-goofy boy who proudly digs through toy boxes like an archaeologist on a mission to select the perfect one and rolls in the grass like he’s checking into a luxury spa. Dipsy takes time to bond, but once he trusts you, he’ll wake you with gentle paw taps and his deep “Barry White” morning voice. He loves to play—sometimes a little too enthusiastically—so he appreciates help remembering to take cooldown breaks. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes, plays politely with cats when he’s bored, and does best with kids 10+ since he’s still working on toning down his excited “love pinches.” Dipsy is housebroken, crate trained, respectful around food and toys, fantastic in the car, but might steal a snack off the counter. He also loves sliding himself under your desk like a big furry foot warmer, “talks” when you come home like he’s giving you a full recap of his day, and once in a while stares dramatically into the distance as if he’s in an indie film. His ideal home has adults or older kids, ideally another dog friend, and people who enjoy walks, playtime, and letting an introvert unfold at his own pace. If you’re patient, loving, active, and appreciate a beautiful, quirky, soft-hearted boy Dipsy might be your perfect match. If you are interested in adding Dipsy into your family, please fill out the adoption application below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
