I am lively, upbeat, playful, and SO happy, especially when I`m with people or other dogs! Are you ready to play, because I sure am! My zoomies are unparalleled, so you are in for some fun with me!WHAT I LOVE: I LOVE to play. I love kisses and snuggles, sure, but I REALLY love to play. Toys and chew bones are some of my favorite things – I am just a young pup after all! I really love other dogs, so I would do great as an addition to an existing dog family!KIDS: The shelter staff thinks I would do just fine with dog savvy kids that are gentle with me.OTHER DOGS: I love other dogs and go to playgroup at the shelter every day!CATS: UnknownHER MATCH: If you like to have fun and get a little playful, I am your girl! I came to the Humane Society of York County as a stray and I’m a heartworm warrior, successfully completing my treatment and back to full health. I’m a medium-size guy, about 55 pounds, and my estimated birth date is October 2022.I’m a gorgeous brindle boy with crazy soft fur, and I’m wonderfully social. I’ve represented the HSYC in the community and have been a sweetheart meeting new people. Rufus is almost 2 years old and was previously an outside dog raised with his brother Waylon He is a gorgeous full blooded Bloodhound that had 10 acres to run free, but the owners are moving to a place that was not going to even have a yard to play and run in so they were surrendered to our rescue! Upon initial exam, Rufus and Waylon both had pretty bad upper respiratory infections and it became very clear they needed Entripion surgery to correct it as it can be very painful if left untreated! Waylon is a handsome almost 2 years old Bloodhound who was raised on 10 acres of land with his brother Rufus, but due to the family moving to a house without a yard, both boys were surrendered to our rescue upon initial intake exam, were both found to have severe upper respiratory infections as well as in desperate need of Entropion surgery due to inward curving of both the top and bottom eyelids that had become very painful! He was neutered and had his eye surgery on 12/1 and treated with a round of Doxycycline and is now back to being ridiculously handsome with a full recovery! He loves to play, loves water and will gladly take any attention as well as praise that you can give him! He needs a yard with a fence because he is known to try to escape his nighttime kennel but he’s a good looking fella who needs a home and family of his very own!
