Story

Meet Tux, an internationally unknown celebrity, regional snack consultant, and self-appointed Duke of Couchingham. He arrived in permanent formalwear, apparently on his way to either a gala or a very important meeting about cheese. Tux came to us from one of our partner shelters, where the staff cared for him beautifully and verified through rigorous laboratory testing—mostly belly rubs—that he is an excellent boy. Somehow, nobody adopted him. Historians will debate this baffling event for centuries. Now he has joined the League, and the village must unite to secure him a forever home before he purchases a small blimp and begins dropping adoption flyers over the tri-state area.Tux is not merely handsome. He is so handsome that mirrors ask for his autograph. His professional competencies include sit, lay down, paw, and roll over, making him technically qualified to run a small municipality. He loves learning, collecting attention, and performing tricks for an audience. His compensation package is flexible but should include treats, applause, and occasional use of the household helicopter. On walks, Tux is easy on the leash, so you can enjoy neighborhood strolls, hiking trails, and emergency diplomatic missions without being dragged into another postal code. He is loyal, affectionate, and eager to bond with his people. Whether you are scaling a mountain, folding laundry, or staring into the refrigerator as though new food might spontaneously appear, Tux will stand beside you like a furry butler who has forgotten where he parked the limousine.Tux has a huge heart, a zest for life, and the confidence of a dog who knows he looks spectacular in formalwear. His ideal home includes loving people, a comfortable couch, and absolutely no questions about the mysterious briefcase buried behind the shed. Adopt Tux today—before he hires an agent, launches a podcast, conquers Luxembourg, and replaces your doorbell with a live brass band.

Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a fun loving companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog disease." and we have JUST the cure for you!!! I am a DOC :) Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living.... here is what one of my admirers has to say about me ;) "Doc is a super playful dude and is soo happy to meet everyone he sees and just is an overall bouncing bundle of joy. He loves walks, pets and scratches, and loves to do sprints with you. When you're walking he will walk slightly ahead of you and is super excited to meet everyone. He'll try to pull but once he realizes you are not coming too fast he will do this cute little hop thing where he bounces between his front paws and his back paws, its adorable" That is quite an admirer, right??? If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment!! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story

Meet Daisy! 🌼🐾 Daisy is the kind of girl who will steal your heart without even trying. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and just plain fun to have around! Daisy came to us with her puppies and was the most devoted mama, but now that her babies are grown, it’s finally Daisy’s turn to be spoiled! This girl has discovered that toys are pretty awesome—especially stuffies! Daisy loves to grab her favorite stuffy, toss it up in the air, chase it down, and entertain herself with it. Watching her play is guaranteed to make you smile! Daisy is great with other dogs and kids and walks nicely on a leash. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but give her a little time (and maybe a few treats), and her sweet personality shines through. She’s gentle, playful, affectionate, and ready to enjoy life as someone's beloved companion instead of always being the mama. Daisy has given so much love to everyone around her. Now she’s ready for a family who will give all that love back! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Spayed or Neutered,

Story

Men are from Mars :0 Remember that theory? Men from Mars and women from Venus?? So I AM MARS!! lol and I am a male!! SO MISUNDERSTOOD!! (all women rolling their eyes :) I am a big puppy... At the rescue again after being adopted in 2020!! :( I was returned by my "family" for something the rescue did before i left as a puppy- socialize me... SO, this is the thing... when you adopt a puppy especially, take the time to SOCIALIZE them all different situations and all different people and other animals.... it is your responsibility. WE committed to Mars so if his "family" gave up on him, we would not! He is back with the rescue and looking for his FOREVER HOME! Do NOT apply to adopt him if you are not committed to him, cause he deserves better!! He is a sweet and loving guy, active and BIG so must be a good leader and must keep him happy and exercised and loved!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Ladybird

Bloodhound German Shepherd Dog

Female, Adult

Franklin, OH

Size

(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more

Details

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,

Story

Unfortunately, it absolutely breaks my heart, but we need to try to find Ladybird a better home. She needs someone who can work with her, as she’s very nervous around other people. She needs a home with no other pets, and no children. She does okay with our kids who know her and respect her space, but has zero tolerance for other children. She does fine with our cat, but tries to go after the strays in the area. Strangers make her nervous, but especially children/men. She is a very good and sweet girl, but lack of socialization as a puppy has become her biggest obstacle. She and Dixie (our other female) tolerate each other but do not care for each other, sometimes leading to fights. She just needs a special person who can give her the proper patience and time to build her confidence. I am willing to do a long term adoption so she can transition easier and learn she can trust her adoptee. She is my protector and best friend. But I realize I need to do what’s best for her.
