Story
Flick is a great puppy, he has a great temperament and pretty easy going. He is a playful pup, he loves toys, playing with other pups and dogs and is great with children. Flick is a little over 6 months and weighs around 30 lbs, so he should be a bigger medium sized dog as an adult. Flick stays in a busy foster home with other puppies, adult dogs and children, and he has done well. He will chase a cat, so his new home should be cat free. If you are looking for an active, medium sized buddy, Flick is sure to be a great addition to most homes. He would do best in a home with a yard for him to explore, he is still learning leash training, but he's a smart cookie and should pick it up with a little help. Flick has been neutered, vaccinated and is on monthly flea/heartworm prevention.

WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. *** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents

Story
Meet Fable: Fable is a one year old (as of October 2024) plott hound mix (best guess) that weighs 36 pounds. This rootin tootin cowboy litter of 3 (Farley, Farris and Fable) are sure to steal some hearts! These cuties were found abandoned in a rural area and luckily made it to our rescue. Fable is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Fable is a sweet, playful handsome boy that is looking for his very own family! To put it simply, Fable is a big love bug! He just wants to be with his person and that’s what makes him happiest! Fable loves playing with toys and exploring around the dog yard. In the play yard he avoids rough play with the other foster dogs and likes to hang with the easy going ones. Fable has a gentle spirit and lots of love to give! Fable is working on his house training. We would love for Fable to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely! Fable is up to date on his shots and neutered. If you are interested in adopting this cute cowboy, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Grundy! He is a 5 year old plott hound. Grundy is special needs, he is blind, but does find his way around really well once he’s familiar with his space, and he has seizures. He is on medication for the seizures, and has done really well on them, however this is something he’ll need for the rest of his life. He’s a very sweet, snuggly boy, he’s also very goofy and energetic. He is crate trained and house trained. Due to his size and him not being able to see, our other dogs and cats do not get along with him. This isn’t fair to them or him, as he’s kept separate in the home from us and them. He is good with older kids who understand dogs(10+ years old). We’d love to find him a perfect fit. He would do best in a home where he has another dog who is tolerant and okay with being bumped into similar in size(60lbs).

Story
Meet Venice aka Vinnie: Vinnie is a little over two years old (as of August 2025) Plott Hound / Lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 60 pounds. Vinnie was rescued from the streets as a stray with his litter mates. The litter has grown and his siblings have all found homes and now it’s Vinnie’s turn! Vinnie is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Vinnie loves to run and play! Vinnie likes toys and treats. Vinnie is good with other dogs. Vinnie has gorgeous eyes and will surely steal some hearts! Vinnie is currently living at a kennel facility and we are not sure of his house-trained status. We would love for Vinnie to have a fenced in yard to run and play freely. Vinnie is up to date on his shots and is neutered.
