Meet Fable: Fable is a three year old (as of October 2026) plott hound mix (best guess) that weighs 36 pounds. This rootin tootin cowboy litter of 3 (Farley, Farris and Fable) are sure to steal some hearts! These cuties were found abandoned in a rural area and luckily made it to our rescue. Fable is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Fable is a sweet, playful handsome boy that is looking for his very own family! To put it simply, Fable is a big love bug! He just wants to be with his person and that’s what makes him happiest! Fable loves playing with toys and exploring around the dog yard. In the play yard he avoids rough play with the other foster dogs and likes to hang with the easy going ones. Fable has a gentle spirit and lots of love to give! Fable is working on his house training. We would love for Fable to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely! ~AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION~ Handsome Marley is the sweetest, most handsome, snuggle buddy that is just waiting for a home and family of his own to crawl into but beware he can’t hold his licker !! He is 3ys old, 65lb, mixed hound/bully breed who came to us from a high kill shelter in North Carolina where he was surrendered for his family having too many dogs. Marley is as sweet as they come. He loves to love everyone he meets. Marley has shown he is good with kids while at his NC foster home. He is housebroken and does well on leash. He enjoys spending time with people and is just happy to be a part of the family. Marley does great with the other dogs he has met while in our rescue and is currently fostered with another large male dog.  He is left loose in his foster home and is doing wonderful, has never had an accident in the house!  Marley is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventatives with an adoption fee of $375. Bailey loves other dogs and hauling around old shoes. She is glad to go in her crate for meals, and she keeps her crate clean. Bailey isn't needy, but she does love a good head rub! She's been overlooked for MONTHS, and it's time for Donna to finally have her happily ever after! Meet Donna, a gorgeous 10–11-month-old girl weighing 43 lbs. We suspect she may be a Plott Hound/Bull Terrier mix, although her exact breed is unknown. She's believed to be fully grown, which means she's the perfect medium-sized companion for someone looking for a little adventure, a lot of love, and plenty of laughs! But Donna's story is about more than her adorable personality. 💔 🏡 A PROMISE THAT FELL THROUGH Donna and her siblings were taken in by a kind facility when they were tiny babies because a rescue had promised to take them all. Unfortunately, that rescue never followed through on taking every puppy, leaving the facility to care for the little ones. One by one, Donna's siblings found homes. But Donna was left behind. She's now been at the sanctuary for approximately EIGHT MONTHS, watching other dogs get their chance while she continues to wait for someone to choose her. Our rescue has stepped in to help Donna find the family she's always deserved. ❤️ And trust us… this girl has SO much love and personality to offer! 😂 A LITTLE CRAZY, BUT THE BEST KIND OF CRAZY! Donna is a fun-loving, goofy girl who keeps life interesting! She's very food- and treat-motivated, which makes her a great candidate for continued training. Current Location: Front Royal, VA Hey there! 🐾 I'm Vaughn, a 5-month-old blond boy with the best of both worlds — Yellow Labrador and Catahoula Leopard Dog heritage. I am a happy fun-loving little boy. I like going on adventures, like hiking, walking in the neighborhood or exploring the yard. I also have a blast playing with my doggie foster siblings (even the big ones who sometimes run me over outside) and playing with toys. I am really enjoying having toys to toss and pounce on, especially the soft ones with squeakers. Did I mention that I LOVE people and instantly charm everyone into petting me and giving me belly rubs. I greet people with excited tail wags and a blissful puppy smile. Even though I'm a busy boy who likes to do things, I also enjoy sitting on your lap and snuggling. Foster mom says I have incredibly soft fur which makes people want to pet me even more. She also says that the splashes of dark brown fur on one side of my face make me unique and super cool. In my foster home I sleep quietly all night and have been amazing at going potty outside! I'm already neutered and ready to grow into an amazing companion at your side. Since I'm great with other dogs, I would also be good in a home where I can play and bond with a canine pal. Meet Dozer, a hound mix with big, fat paws, an even bigger head, and irresistible wrinkles that will make you smile! 🐾❤️ Life hasn't always been easy for this sweet boy. Before coming into rescue, he spent much of his time outdoors without many of the comforts most dogs take for granted. He has a few scars that tell the story of his past, but he's ready to leave those days behind and enjoy the good life! And he's already discovering just how wonderful that life can be! Soft beds, cozy couches, tasty treats, and toys are all things he's learning to appreciate. He likes people, enjoys affection, and is pretty okay with a little grooming. Loud noises can occasionally startle him, but he's a sweet, good-natured guy who just needs a little reassurance. Dozer is a hound through and through! His nose leads the way, he loves to explore, and he alerts the pack with an adorable, soulful howl whenever emergency vehicles pass by with their sirens going. He's also a little clumsy at times, which only adds to his charm! Because he hasn't had much experience with leash walking or formal training, he'll need someone willing to help him learn. He's a strong boy who will sometimes pull on leash, so a secure, properly fitted harness is important. He also has a tendency to mark, so he'll benefit from consistency and patience as he adjusts to indoor living. He does know to go potty outside in the yard and on walks. Crates aren't his favorite, and he'd much rather have a comfortable spot to relax. He can coexist with larger, calm dogs but would do best in a home without small dogs, puppies, or cats due to his strong prey drive. His ideal home? A patient, loving family that understands hounds, appreciates their quirky personalities, and is ready to show this deserving boy what being a cherished family member is all about. Dozer also has chronic dry eyes and needs his family to give him drops twice a day to help him produce tears. After seven years of making do with so little, he's ready for a soft place to land, a little guidance, and a whole lot of love. This is what RESCUE is all about! ❤️
