Seeking a hound dog?! Meet Cricket! Cricket is a 2 year old petite plott hound mix weighing 38 pounds. Cricket is adapting to life outside of the shelter--she spent over a year in an outdoor shelter, so she's still getting used to the everyday happenings outside those kennel walls. When Cricket got to her foster family she stayed in her crate or hid behind the couch. Slowly she warmed up and began to show her playful and sweet personality. She was timid and shy at first, but she has blossomed into a playful, goofy, and sweet girl and has all the love to give to a patient family who is looking for a forever friend.. She does well with other dogs and children, but she does like to zoom and chase them around, so cats might not be the best compaions for her. Cricket is crate trained and does well in her crate. She rests and sleeps in her crate as well as using it when she needs to relax. She is housetrained and is working on her leash manners, therefore she will need more training in this area.  Cricket is seeking a home with a secure, fenced in yard where she can run and strech her legs. Home must have another dog to help her gain confidence and continue to teach her how to be an inside dog.  Cricket is also spayed and up to date on all required vaccinations. Hi, I'm Pippa! I'm a 43 lb. Plott Hound mix and around 2-3 years old. I came to Paws Across Pittsburgh with my puppies. I lived in an outdoor kennel at the shelter, so now I'm learning to live in a house. Some things are a little scary, but I'm adapting well and I love it! I enjoy sitting in the back yard in the sun and will relax out there all day if you let me. I love to sleep in my bed in my cage at night. Actually I'll sleep in my bed pretty much anywhere, I'm pretty easy! Sometimes I'll bark for a couple of minutes when you first put me in my cage, but then I relax and go to sleep. I sleep all night and don't make a peep. Sometimes I don't even want to get up in the morning! I keep my cage very clean and bark if I need out to go potty. I haven't had any accidents in the house so far, but I'm taken out on a consistent schedule, so that helps. My new family will have to be patient and help me adapt to my new life. So far I've been the goodest girl though! All I want is love, attention and all the pets you can give me! I play really well with my foster siblings too. I'm not cat or kid tested, but I'm really sweet and laid back, so I think I would be just fine! I'm spayed and up to date on my vaccinations and now I'm ready to live my best life!     Meet Paisley, a 14 pound, 12-week old Plott hound mix! Her mom is 40 pounds. Paisley is highly food motivated and picks up tricks pretty quickly. She loves zooming around the fenced in yard and needs another dog to wrestle. She also loves toys and snuffle mats to work out that hound nose. There are two cats in the foster home, and Paisley is curious about them though she gives them their space. She is great at going potty outside on command but still working on only going outside. She’s also learning how to not say thank you with her teeth. Her favorite place to nap is in her crate cuddled up to her sister though there may be some crying at first when the door is closed. She’s still working on being crated during the day but has been sleeping through the night in the crate with no accidents. ##2021664##
