Story
Hi I’m Floyd! Now that we met, can you love me? Like right now, pretty please?!? I really want to find my forever home and be there and loved for the rest of eternity! I promise to show you lots of appreciation and love in return if you share your heart and maybe your bed with me, and promise to pet me often!  My foster family says that I am the most appreciative and loyal of all the fosters they have ever had. I’m just so happy to be in a warm, safe, and soft place after almost a year at shelters and in boarding!    A little bit more about me…I’m about 4 and a half years old and am a Plott Hound. This means I love to smell all the smells and really enjoy being outside. I would love a fenced in yard to explore, but it isn’t necessary as I’m pretty laid back and willing to chill with you on the couch if you’d prefer - again if you’re petting me, I’m there! I enjoy when people visit the house and do great with company. I’m a people pleaser! I also do well home alone when you need to leave for work or events without me and am fully house broken.    My fosters say I’m smart - I’ve learned to sit, stay and give a paw in a short amount of time! I love these treats they give me and am happy to do as you wish for one!    My foster mom says I have a history of being dog selective. I’m not sure what that means really, but she thinks I would do best in a home with no other male dogs. While I love the kiddos at my foster house, I need a house with no kiddos.   I would be a great house protector for a single person or a third wheel to a couple. I could be active or relax the day away depending upon what my family wants to do! As long as you’re going to love me forever and pet me often, please submit an application!  ##2243697##

Daisy came to us with her puppies and proved to be the gentlest, most devoted mama. She raised her babies with so much love, and now it’s finally her turn to find a forever home of her own. This sweet girl can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly—especially if you have treats to share! Daisy is great with other dogs, crate trained, and has the softest, most loving spirit. Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a fun loving companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog disease." and we have JUST the cure for you!!! I am a DOC :) Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living.... here is what one of my admirers has to say about me ;) "Doc is a super playful dude and is soo happy to meet everyone he sees and just is an overall bouncing bundle of joy. He loves walks, pets and scratches, and loves to do sprints with you. When you're walking he will walk slightly ahead of you and is super excited to meet everyone. He'll try to pull but once he realizes you are not coming too fast he will do this cute little hop thing where he bounces between his front paws and his back paws, its adorable" That is quite an admirer, right??? If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hello my name is kreacher I'm about 1.5 years old. We recently found out that my dad is allergic to me and my sibling. Potty training isn't in my favor but I try really hard to be a good boy. It started with my birthplace. It was a really bad place we lived in our mess with no food and water 17 other dogs too. My mommy and Daddy did everything they could to do what was best but my daddy keeps getting really sick. I have tons of energy so I need someone who can walk me and play with me and maybe a big yard would be nice too! I've been around my human sister since I was rescued she's 6. I just get the jumps sometimes but otherwise kids are safe with me. I hope someone can help me find a good home and please be kind to my parents they have to give up two of their fur babies.

Story
Meet handsome Lamar....this 2.5 year old plott hound/lab mix is 72 pounds of sweetness! He was picked up as a stray in St Thomas in February 2022 and spent months in the shelter where he shut down, not wanting to eat, walk or play. Neil, a volunteer at the shelter, fostered him and loved him until Neil left the island to work stateside. Instead of placing Lamar back in the shelter, the Pets With Wings Program brought him to Pet Search! Lamar loves other dogs and will thrive with a fur-sibling or two! and once he becomes comfortable, he will join and play, almost to the point of exhaustion! Lamar is very skittish when first meeting people and will bark out of anxiety, and will back away. After several weeks in foster care, he is warming up to his foster parents. Lamar needs time to adjust to new surroundings and will have accidents while feeling comfortable. He loves to sleep in bed or on a sofa, but is crate trained also. Lamar has shown no reactiveness to cats and would be a great playmate for older children due to his size and weight. Applications can he found at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog KL#03301 Washington PA 15301

Story
adoption donation : $599 weight 38lbs Age 6 months       Charlie is a sweet and friendly girl who loves everyone she meets. She was found abandoned at a truckstop in a rural part of Mississippi and luckily rescued by Wags. At the rescue, she is having a blast running and playing with all the dogs, she just loves other pups! In the house, she is mellow and chill and loves to follow her Foster Mom around.  Charlie has been spayed and vaccinated and is ready to travel to the northeast as soon as the weekend of August 9th. Charlie is housebroken at Wags but like any rescue pup will likely need some training as she adjusts to a new home. She has beautiful and appeared to be a Catahola Leopard dog, very common in Mississippi and known to be very smart and loving dogs. Charlie is just the best, she will  make a wonderful  member of the family.    Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Most of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. We do have some of our dogs in foster homes in the northeast, we always need foster homes! WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌸🐾 Meet Shirley — A Soft Soul with a Big Heart (and a Little Extra Fluff) 🐾🌸 Shirley is a June 2023 baby, weighing in at about 60 pounds — though her ideal weight is closer to 50 (she’s currently rocking that “well-loved” look 😄). She’s spayed, fully vetted, and comes with what can only be described as an impressively solid resume for a family dog. Shirley checks all the important boxes: ✅ Good with other dogs ✅ Great with kids ✅ House trained ✅ Up to date on vaccines ✅ Loyal, loving, and well-mannered ✅ Professional belly-rub enthusiast At first, Shirley can be a teeny bit shy — the kind of girl who likes to observe before jumping in — but give her a moment and she’ll melt right into you. Once she trusts you, she’s all about the belly rubs, quiet companionship, and loyal sidekick energy. She’s sweet, gentle, and has a calm presence that makes her a joy to be around. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she just wants to be near her people, soaking up love and offering it right back. Whether it’s lounging at your feet, joining you for a walk, or quietly supervising household activities, Shirley is happy just being part of a family. And yes… she could stand to lose a few pounds — but honestly, that just means more motivation to strap on that fitbit and getting your steps in... together, right? 😉 Shirley is ready for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished — a place where she can finally settle in and be someone’s “good girl” for life. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Shirley the forever home she so deeply deserves. 🐾💖
