Felicity has been called a rock star. But that's not because she's a rock & roller. It's because she actually loves rocks. She has a collection of rocks and loves carrying one around in her mouth. When outdoors, she'll even give a hilarious howl when she's trying to find a rock. So funny! This sweet, friendly girl also loves her human friends. She wants their attention and loves it when they stroke her nose and head. She's in heaven when she gets nose rubs. She also wants to snuggle on the furniture with them - and sleep with them. She loves getting pets and cuddles at night. Now in foster, Felicity has fun running around, digging in the yard, playing tug-o-war and doing water activities. She also loves going for walks and may pull and bark at dogs she sees. At home, she already has obedience skills, understanding many commands including sit, speak, shake, catch. Felicity does well with other dogs and older kids. She can be overly friendly with new people she meets, hopping up on them, so can be too active with small children. Felicity is fully house-trained and will stay in a crate for a couple of hours. She prefers not to stay longer and is great when free roaming the house, doing well when her fosters are away. Bear is a sensitive soul who loves going on long walks, exploring the neighborhood and becoming familiar with new sounds and movements. Being shy, Bear is in search of humans who will respect his space and help him learn that people can be good and that food will never be scarce again. Bear has lived in a family with children, dogs and cats but we believe that a low traffic home would suit him the best. He will need slow introductions, and if you have a dog, a meet and greet would help make sure that they can be respectful fur siblings. Bear feels most safe when in his kennel and given time and space to approach his humans on his terms. As the adopter of a dog having specific training needs, the Austin Animal Center will provide you with some extra resources just for choosing Bear to be a part of your family. This includes a training voucher and post-adoption support from our Behavior Team. Their email is animal.behavior@austintexas.gov and they will be happy to answer any questions you have about your new family member and provide support when needed.

LUNA 2 1/2 yrs old Female I need to rehome a 2 yrs old Catahoula Hound. She is a great dog but needs more activity and room than we have. She needs an owner who has the time and yard space to let her work off her amazing energy. She would be a great ranch dog. She is very loving and almost overprotective of her people. She is very strong and stubborn, so she needs a firm hand. She responds to basic commands. We are asking for $150 to ensure she gets a serious new owner. She has been spayed. Please feel free to pass this message on to any potential new Owner whom you think she would make a good fit.
