Story
Meet Rocky, a handsome brindle boy with one mesmerizing blue eye and a heart as big as Texas! This lovable pup is as friendly as they come—he adores people of all ages and lives happily with kids in his foster home in New Braunfels, TX. Rocky is also a total social butterfly with other dogs and will play for hours, making him an ideal companion for a home with canine friends. He’s curious about cats and could peacefully coexist with a confident, dog-savvy feline. Rocky has an expressive personality, with pointy ears that twitch back and forth as he listens to you, as if he understands every word. He’s smart and knows commands like “come here,” “get in your box,” “sit,” and “shake.” He’s crate and house trained, making him an easy addition to your family. While he gets a little nervous in the car, he loves going on walks and, after a few excited pulls, settles into a lovely, relaxed stride—complete with a charming little saunter that makes him look like he’s grooving to his own beat. Squeaky toys are his absolute favorite, and he gives you the sweetest eye contact that feels like a warm hug. Rocky would thrive in an active home or with a family that includes kids or other playful pups. He's ready to bring joy, snuggles, and endless tail wags to his forever family. Story
Hi my name is Teddy Bear. While I may be a big boi, I am a scared boi too. I need parents that will respect my boundaries and go slow with me. Once I feel safe, I am a loving fella. I would do best in a low traffic home so that I can relax. Not to brag but I am house trained, crate trained, and in a low traffic environment, I am a loose leash walker who moves at a slow pace. I love treats, especially cheese so hopefully my new family will have lots of cheese. Pets from the people I trust are another favorite treat of mine. Guess what: I have the potential to live with cat siblings. Currently, I'm learning how to be more confident around other patient dogs in Play Group here at APA! I am looking for a house with no kiddos and parents with the patience to move at my pace. If you give me my space and a chance to feel safe, I have so much love to give. Talk to a matchmaker to make my acquaintance today!

Story
Chuck is basically if Einstein and Sherlock Holmes had a baby... but brindle and houndlike. So, even better! He is incredibly smart, an avid puzzler, likes earning an agility course, and loves to learn new party tricks. Being a hound mix, he's also curious, adventurous, eager to please, loves working for treats, and enjoys spending his walks smelling allll the smells. After a long day of Einsteining, Sherlock Holmsing, and playing fetch, he does enjoy some leisurely down time with a long lasting chew or any form of enrichment. The best part? This is all typically followed by a nap next to you while you finish your latest Netflix series. He's a pretty solid cuddler tool Still interested? You should be, he's a catch! Now, let's talk logistics. Can Chuck live with kids? Chuck would do best without small children. Remember the playful part? Well, Mr. Chuck likes to play a bit on the rougher side and is bouncy in nature so may knock a kid over or play too rough for little humans. How is Chuck with other dogs? He’s a bit more selective with what dogs he allows in his friend circle but there is potential. I could totally see a Step Brothers relationship forming if he found just the right match though! The best way to know if your dog and Chuck will be a good match is to reach out to us to schedule a dog dog meet and greet. Can Chuck live in an apartment? The traffic of an apartment complex is bit too bustling and overwhelming for Chuck. He would do best in a house. Which leads to our next question. Is Chuck a dog I can take to dog parks, Sunday Funday brunches, etc? No, Chuck prefers lower traffic environments. BUT, Chuck still wants you to go have fun and he'll be home waiting for you!

Story
Hami is a sweet and playful pup who loves people! His favorite activities include playing fetch with his toys, cuddling up on the couch, going for hikes where he can sniff for wildlife scents, and making humans laugh. In the backyard, he loves to play `soccer` and make friends with lizards using an adorable, playful hop-pounce. When he`s not snoozing indoors, he enjoys doing puzzle games, chewing on his chew toys, and watching squirrels out the window. He has been trained with fear-free positive reinforcement, is house-trained, and knows sit, wait, and lie down (with potential to learn many more cues). He has potential to live with a doggie sibling but has shown he`s happy as the only pet as well. When his foster`s 11-year-old niece came to visit for a week, he was gentle and affectionate with her, and he has done well meeting younger kids on walks as well.Click the “Adopt Me” button to start the conversation and see if Hami is a fit for you! His foster mama will answer all of your questions and plan a time for you to meet him.
