Story
Meet Tinkerbell 1.5 year old Lab Hound mix, about 50 lbs Tinkerbell is a beautiful young girl who just needs a little time to feel safe. She can be nervous when meeting new people, but with a calm one on one walk and a few treats, she warms up quickly and shows her sweet personality. She is very treat motivated, which makes training and bonding rewarding. She came to us underweight but is gaining well and currently weighs around 50 lbs. In her previous home, she lived successfully with another dog and a cat. She is not spayed yet, but that will be scheduled soon. Tinkerbell is still working on house training. With frequent potty breaks and consistency, she does well. She will thrive in a patient, calm home that helps her continue building confidence. Tinkerbell was surrendered with her brother Leo. She is ready for a loving home where she can feel safe and truly shine.

Story
My daughter got this little guy, and loved him for a few months then moved in. Her new apartment complex does not allow pets over 25 pounds. They did not tell her that before she signed her contract. So we have the dog trying to find him a good home he is a love bug and loves to cuddle loves walks. He is crate, trained, and knows basic commands. He absolutely loves people. He won’t bark at them when they walk up to him. He just wags his tail and wants to be loved. We would be keeping him ourselves if it wasn’t for the fact that we have two dogs that are both 13 years old and they just physically cannot handle the puppy. He wants to play and they want to sleep..

Story
Maggie is a beautiful 3-year-old Plott Hound mix who has come such a long way and is truly starting to shine. She is a loving, affectionate girl who bonds closely with her people and has recently become even more cuddly in foster. Maggie will happily seek you out for attention and, when invited, will come over for kisses and wrap her paws around you in the sweetest way. Maggie enjoys spending time outside, soaking up the sun, watching birds, and exploring the yard. She has done well with off-leash time in a secure space and will return to the door when she’s ready to come back inside. She also has a playful side and enjoys chasing sticks and engaging with her people. She is currently gaining confidence and working on her manners, including leash skills and polite interactions with other dogs. Maggie has done well being around other dogs in a structured environment and would benefit from continued slow, thoughtful introductions. Maggie is house trained and crate trained, and she settles nicely in her space while still enjoying being part of the household. Because of her strong prey drive, Maggie is not a good fit for homes with cats or small animals. Maggie is a smart, strong girl who will thrive with an experienced owner who can appreciate her personality and continue helping her grow. She has already made great progress and continues to improve every day. If you would like to learn more about Maggie or arrange a meeting, please contact adoptpetersburg@gmail.com
