Story
Meet Rocky Road, a very playful and energetic dog who is ready for any adventure you bring his way! He was recently returned to us due to no fault of his own. He is potty trained, does well with other dogs, and people of all ages. Rocky does have some separation anxiety but that just means he loves your company! With consistent training this can be worked on and improved. He needs an active owner who is able to provide him with daily exercise and mental stimulation because his breed is a working dog breed. This is very important and can/will become destructive inside the home due to boredom. If you feel you might be a match please fill out an application to see him!

Story
Meet Katya!    She recently gave birth to eight puppies. At just 18 months old and about 50 pounds, Katya is still very much a puppy herself. After doing an amazing job raising her babies, she’s ready to enjoy life, have fun, and be spoiled in a loving forever home.   Katya loves to play! She happily chases balls, grabs toys and zooms around the yard, and spends hours playing with her terrier foster sister. She also enjoys exploring and investigating everything around her. Like many young dogs, she may occasionally stroll by with a slipper in her mouth, just to remind you she’s still a puppy at heart. She is also incredibly affectionate. Katya loves curling up next to her people on the couch for pets and snuggles, or simply lying nearby wherever her family is gathered. She wants to be part of the action and close to the people she loves. She isn’t a big barker. If someone approaches the house, she’ll let you know, but otherwise she’s generally quiet and easygoing. At night, she sleeps peacefully in her crate and goes in willingly without fuss. She has learned to use the doggie door at her foster home and has been accident-free since figuring out the routine.Katya gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing with her foster sister. She has also spent time around young children and genuinely enjoys being around people. Because of some possible hardships earlier in life, she may take a little extra time to warm up to men. However, once trust is established, she is affectionate and loving. She now happily seeks out her foster dad for scratches and pets. One of her sweetest qualities is how attentively she listens when you talk to her. She gazes into your eyes as if she understands every word. And she definitely knows how cute she is when she gently places a paw on your arm or in your lap—something she does often and always melts hearts.Katya is a gentle, loving, joyful girl who deserves a happy ending after spending so much of her young life caring for others. Now it’s her turn to be cared for, loved, and cherished. If you would like to give Katya the Cinderella story she deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 22, 2026, 4:43 pm

Story
Meet Catalina  – A Beautiful Catahoula mix girl puppy looking for her forever adventure with you!   Catalina is a gorgeous puppy who was born on April 14th and currently weighs 14 pounds as of July 6th .  Her momma is colored just like her and is a Catahoula mix (mostly Catahoula) and is the most wonderful young adult girl with a beautiful spirit and temperament.  All the puppies have received her personality that is loving and fun and confident.    Like so many puppies across the South, Catalina was born to a momma dog that was a stray and the litter of 8 puppies were with a struggling single mom with 3 kids that found her jpregnant and needing a place to have her babies.  At 6 weeks Critter Cavalry Rescue took the big family with their momma and promised to help find everyone a home that would be perfect for them.  Miss Catalina has been raised around young children, other grown dogs, her puppy siblings and has attended many  Puppy Yoga classes at the local YMCAs in Tennessee.  She is no stranger to meeting new people at all.  Currently her foster home is teaching her crate training, potty breaks and routines and she is coming along nicely.  Her active breed and intelligence for exploring and seeking new adventures, will require her to be in a home with a fenced yard.  She will most likely be a 50 pound adult like her beautiful mom Katyia.     This sweet girl is everything you love about a young vibrant, cuddly fun puppy.  She is smart, curious, playful, and eager to explore the world around her. She is quiet and yet can get the playful zoomies when encouraged by her playmate canines.  She will easily form strong bonds with those who show her kindness.   Catalina loves other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion to play with and also cuddle. She would also thrive as the center of attention in an active home. Most importantly, she is ready to begin making memories with a family who will include her in their adventures.   A securely fenced yard will be a requirement for Catalina's new future home.  This will give her a safe place to run and burn off puppy energy. Daily walks, outings, and continued training will help her grow into the amazing companion we know she can be. All she needs now is someone willing to take a chance on her. In return, she’ll spend every day showing her gratitude with tail wags, kisses, and unwavering devotion.   ❤️ If you’re looking for a best friend to share life’s adventures, Catalina  may be the perfect match. To learn more or apply to adopt her, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com and tell us where you live when inquiring. Critter Cavalry Rescue is based in Tennessee and adopts throughout Tennessee and the Northeast, with transport available almost every weekend.
