He LOVES people, and will try to get as close to you as possible -- as soon as he figures out how his big feet and long legs work! You can almost see the math bubble in his head as he tries to coordinate everything! Baylor is gentle, snuggly and SO eager to please - it's like his singular purpose is to bring you joy! He doesn't quite understand how to play with other dogs yet, but he likes them, and really wants to learn.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Story
DRACO - 8 years old, 50 pounds, house trained, good with kids, no other pets, very sweet and loving. Losing your home is not only devastating to the humans but to the pets as well. This is how Draco ended up at VBACAC. He had been with his last family half his life and now lives behind bars through no fault of his own. He is a sweet, friendly boy. He's house trained and good with kids. He can get along with other dogs, well, let's say he can tolerate other dogs as long as they listen to him. We've had him in our shelter playgroup and he just doesn't seem to want to engage with the other dogs. If a dog gets near him or tries to engage with him, he barks and backs the dog up. So, an only dog home might be best but walking around your neighborhood or going on a hike should be pleasant without worrying about seeing other dogs. Draco is currently in a back kennel so if you don't see him, please just ask for this brindle boy! Albert warms up quickly and frolics and play bows asking for a stroll. Albert is looking for a pal to take him on walks and let him romp in the yard. Albert is not looking to work he is more interested at gazing at stars and checking the perimeter. The Henrico Police Animal Shelter is accessible by appointment.
