Story
We adopted Cotopaxi from Longmont Humane society in late 2019. When we adopted her she was estimated to be 3 years old. She is now 9 but still has the energy of a puppy. She is the sweetest girl and loves to cuddle up, play, and sleep with us in bed. She needs an experienced pet family that keep her active, ideally with some land that she can run around on. She is very active and can be destructive if she isn't stimulated. We are looking to rehome her due to a newly developed issue with our other dog. This issue has been caused by resource guarding and food aggression. We have never had any issues with either us or our young children. We believe she would do best as an only dog.

Story
Layka is a delightful young female mixed breed  born August 27, 2021, weighing 50 pounds.  Layka a zest for life and an infectious enthusiasm that will brighten any home. Born with a naturally happy and outgoing personality, Layka thrives on adventure and loves the thrill of exploring new places. Her playful spirit and love for cuddles make her an ideal companion for families who enjoy an active lifestyle and plenty of affection. Layka is best suited for a household where she can be the only dog, allowing her to soak up all the love and attention she deserves. While she is naturally joyful and affectionate, Layka will benefit from socialization and training to help her adjust to her new environment and become the best version of herself. Our In-Home Experience with the Lovely Layka Layka is a delightful and silly girl who will undoubtedly capture your heart, one laugh at a time. From the moment she arrived at our home, her curiosity was evident—she sniffed every inch of the place and quickly decided that the couch was her favorite spot. A Day in the Life of Layka Layka's daily routine is a charming mix of relaxation and playful energy. About 75% of her day is spent as a content couch potato, while the remaining 25% is dedicated to her puppy zoomies, where she eagerly wants to play. Her play mode often involves heading to the backyard for a game of "fetch" with her Kong ball. Fetch deserves quotation marks because, more often than not, Layka ends up throwing the ball in the air herself and chasing it around like an exuberant baby kangaroo. She sprints full speed from one end of the yard to the other, taking frequent pit stops at the kitchen water dish for huge, refreshing slurps. It's essential to have a nice big bowl because Layka loves her water! After about 10-15 minutes of this energetic play, she sprints back inside, bringing her ball to the couch as a signal that she's all tuckered out. A Perfect Work-From-Home Companion I work from home, and Layka has proven to be a wonderful coworker. She spends her time in the living room, keeping an eye on passersby from the window. Every half hour or so, she trots into my office for a brief session of belly rubs and kisses before returning to her relaxing routine. Having Layka around has made my workdays much more enjoyable. Settling In and House Training Layka is house-trained, although she did have a couple of accidents during her first week with us, which we attributed to being in a new environment. She quickly learned to stand by the back door and gaze at us when she wanted to be let outside. Occasionally, she just wanted to enjoy the sunshine. When ready to come back in, she would sit politely at the door and give a short little bark to let us know. Overall, Layka has brought endless joy and laughter into our home. Her playful antics and loving demeanor have made her a beloved member of our household. By welcoming Layka into your home, you're inviting a happy and playful companion into your life. Her adventurous spirit and affectionate nature are sure to fill your days with joy and warmth. If you're ready for a lively and loving furry friend, Layka might just be the perfect match for your family! If interested please go to our website and fill out an application. Story
Jose is an incredibly sweet boy with a gentle, shy nature. He may hide at first around new people, so slow, patient introductions are key. Once he gets to know you, he is all about cuddles — he loves snuggling on the couch or curling up right on your lap, often drifting off to sleep beside his favorite humans. Jose can get anxious when left alone, so he’s continuing to work on separation skills and crate training, and he’s making great progress. He would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help him feel safe and show him the world isn’t so scary. Potty training is still in progress. He’s currently pad trained, and as he finishes his vaccinations, he’ll be ready to fully learn outdoor potty routines. Jose can be a little nervous while eating, so providing a quiet, safe spot helps him relax and enjoy his meals. He’s playful, friendly, and shows no aggression — just the typical fun-loving puppy energy! He enjoys watching YouTube Dog TV and taking cozy naps. With patience and love, Jose warms up to people quickly and will be a loyal, affectionate companion for life. ##2631446##

Story
JOLENE is a beautiful girl of about 9 weeks. She is a great girl who is curious and beautiful. She is learning potty manners and loves to play. Shy at first she will require leash training and would excel in a house with other trained dogs. She has not had exposure to cats but we do not see that as an issue if the adopter is going to pay attention and train a puppy. She is a gem. Her mother is a gorgeous pointer. We know this litter of 6 pups will excel in a loving and training environment as they are easy, social and sweet.  ##2631448##

Story
Jessie is a snuggle bug!  He wants to be as close to you as possible - without being picked up, which is still a bit scary for him.  But he loves to be pet and to snuggle up next to you.  Highly food motivated and got the hang of "sit" within an hour, he will now follow me around the house and sit everywhere he can hoping for treats!  He's now learning "down" and "come", and I think he'll be a pro very soon.  Potty training is a little trickier, but Jessie is smart and wants to please so I'm sure he'll get there soon.  Jessie is very quiet and sweet, no crying or barking (unless wrestling with his sister). Jessie is still timid and learning to trust people, and his first reaction to an approaching human is usually to shrink back.  But within seconds (or no time at all if you have food!!) he's glued to you and loves nothing more than pets, belly rubs and to be snuggled up next to you. Jessie sleeps in his crate + pen overnight without a peep. Potty training is just starting, but Jessie is responding well to other command training so I think he'll get the hang of it soon. ##2631447##
