He's about one year old and he loves to chase his tail to impress you. He's very energetic and loves to run but as long as he doesn't have to fight for attention with other pets he's super sweet and likes to lay with you on the couch. He gets along with other dogs but can push the playing too far and then gets aggressive. He is food aggressive with other dogs as well. He's an eater and needs something to slow him down. Over all, besides barking, he's a good boy he just needs to be in his own setting with no other dogs.

Jose is a super affectionate, friendly, and cuddly pup. He is super people oriented but also gets along amazing with other dogs. His favorite activities are learning new tricks, playing with the cat, taking naps on the couch, and going on long walks. He is extremely smart and food motivated so he catches on quickly to training.  He is currently crate trained but is working on being able to hang outside the crate by himself when people are gone. He loves snuggling up next to anyone, but also has a lot of energy so toys and outdoor activities are his favorite too!   He’s playful, friendly, and shows no aggression — just the typical fun-loving puppy energy! He enjoys watching YouTube Dog TV and taking cozy naps. With patience and love, Jose warms up to people quickly and will be a loyal, affectionate companion for life. He would thrive in an environment with people who are somewhat active but also appreciate some down time (and his beard).  ##2631446##

Hi, I'm Ember!!! My story started on the streets of Roswell, New Mexico, where I was found as a stray. Since then, I've traded uncertainty for safety, love, training, and an incredible foster family. What I haven't found yet is my forever home. I've spent over 1,150 days waiting. At this point, I've watched puppies get adopted. I've watched senior dogs get adopted. I've watched dogs arrive after me and leave before me. And while I'm happy for them, I think it's finally my turn. I'm 3.5 years old, house-trained, spayed, up-to-date on my vaccines, and well past the puppy chaos phase. These days, I'd much rather spend my time playing fetch, going for walks, learning new things, snuggling on the couch, and hanging out with my favorite humans. I'm smart, goofy, affectionate, and incredibly loyal to the people I love. I've worked with trainers, know my basic commands, and genuinely enjoy having a job to do. Like many thoughtful souls, I prefer introductions over surprises. New people can make me a little nervous at first, so I appreciate being given time and space to get comfortable. Once I do, my sweet personality starts to shine. My ideal home is an adult-only household that will continue giving me the structure, patience, exercise, and love I deserve. I may be happiest as your one-and-only dog, but I could also do well with the right canine companion and a thoughtful introduction. What I promise in return is simple: Unwavering loyalty.
