Gabbie is a 2-3 year old pointer that has had a really tough start in life. She arrived here at Trevor's emaciated, had been a mom,  with scabs and scars and a spirit that had been broken. With lots of love she is coming out of her shell. She is a gentle, quiet girl is only 35 lbs. She gets along great with other dogs and is potty and crate trained. Fritz was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. He will be available to meet starting 2/1! Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. After a few transitions, Nova is ready to settle into a new home! She is a friendly girl with lots of love to give and she will appreciate an adopter that can be home with her often as she gets accustomed to her new routine. Nova appears a bit insecure around other dogs, so if entering a multi-dog home, we are requiring a doggie meet-and-greet here at the shelter to help ensure it`s a good fit. At this time, HSBV will only rehome Nova to a family without children or with children over the age of 10.
