Story
All Southern Crescent Canine Rescue pets are spayed or neutered, all vaccinations are up to date, heartworm negative, and microchipped. We suggest follow-up intestinal worming two weeks after adoption.  We require monthly heartworm preventive after adoption!Meet Sonny, the ultimate cuddle buddy with a heart of gold! This goofy boy is a unique blend of athleticism and couch potato, always up for an adventure but just as happy to snuggle up for movie night. Sonny is an affectionate soul who loves nothing more than showering his favorite people with kisses and a healthy dose of playful humor. With his keen intelligence and loyalty, he will be your faithful companion through thick and thin. Sonny is a true friend who will keep you active and laughing, all while knowing when it's time to unwind and relax. He is eager to find his forever family, where he can be the loving and devoted companion he was always meant to be. Could you be the one to unlock Sonny's heart and bring out his very best?                                  'We Are Rescue' Until you have held a tiny puppy in your arms as it kissed your face with slobbery puppy breath and felt the love, Until you have held an injured or severely ill dog in your arms and felt their pain, Until you have looked into the eyes of a tired aging senior dog and felt their wisdom, And until you have seen and understood the look in your dogs eyes that tell you their time on earth with you is over .... and you humanely let them go, You will never understand the life of a rescuer. We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and defeat and find the true soul that lies within. Story
Hello, I'm Cedric, a seasoned soul who values my independence.  I was an owner surrender when I was a puppy along with my other 5 siblings. My siblings all were adopted but unfortunately I have made it to seniorhood without finding a forever home.  I'm protective of my house so I'm not keen on strangers coming in so I have to be crated.  I'm a big male of about 90 lbs. I broke my leg back in 2019 so having to have crate rest to heal put on the extra pounds.  I do have a few doggie friends that I go out with but I'm okay being a loner and enjoying naps. I enjoy spending time in a fenced backyard and dream of a home where I can continue my tranquil lifestyle, perhaps with someone who appreciates a loyal companion without the fuss. If you cherish serene days and gentle companionship, I might just be your perfect match. ##984206##

Story
I adopted Rylo as a puppy when I was in college and he’s now 4 years old. Rylo is playful and goofy but very affectionate. He never meets a stranger and very quickly befriends anyone (especially if you bribe him with food). I’m hoping to find Rylo a home that plays with him, gives him plenty of belly rubs, and genuinely wants to love their new best friend.

FOSTER HOME - NEEDED UNTIL ADOPTIVE HOME FOUND Meet Rocky & Winnie: A Loving Bonded Pair Looking for a Home Rocky and Winnie are a precious bonded pair who suddenly find themselves needing a new chapter — together. For more than two months, our rescue has been caring for Rocky and Winnie in the home their owner had to leave due to serious health issues. During that time, we have kept them safe, comfortable, fed, walked, loved, and cared for in the familiar home they know. Now, Rocky and Winnie urgently need a special person or family to step forward for them — AND SOON! The home they have been living in will be going on the market soon, and they will have nowhere to go unless someone steps up to foster them — or, even better, ADOPT them. These two are well-mannered, house-trained dogs who are accustomed to living in a home. They rely on one another for comfort and companionship, and we are committed to keeping them together. Meet Rocky Breed/Type: Senior Shepherd Mix Age: Approximately 8–8½ years old Rocky is gentle, loyal, calm, and affectionate with a heart of gold. He is an easygoing guy who brings a wonderful combination of gentle companionship and happy enthusiasm to everyday life. He loves his toys, going for walks, and especially mealtime — he gets SO excited! Meet Winnie Breed/Type: Black & White Pointer Mix Age: 6 years old Winnie is sweet, friendly, loving, and a total affection bug! She loves neighborhood walks, giving kisses, getting hugs and pets, and simply being close to her humans. She is a happy, affectionate girl and Rocky's constant best friend. Winnie will absolutely flood you with love and cuddles.  Why Foster or Adopt Rocky & Winnie? They're a bonded pair. Rocky and Winnie rely on each other and bring out the best in one another. They're house-trained and home-ready. Both are gentle house dogs accustomed to living in a home and enjoying a comfortable routine. You get double the love. From Rocky's happy mealtime excitement to Winnie's hugs and kisses, these two bring so much warmth and affection with them. Most importantly, you can change TWO lives. Their world has already changed tremendously. What they need now is the security of knowing they still have each other — and a person who will be there for them.  FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED — URGENT! If you have room in your heart and home for this loving duo, even temporarily, please reach out. And if you can't foster or adopt, PLEASE SHARE Rocky & Winnie's story. Their special person may be someone in your circle who simply hasn't seen them yet. We're determined to make sure they don't lose each other, too.    August 29, 2026, 12:51 am

Story
Meet Isabelle, the quiet girl who needs time to feel safe. Isabelle is a 8-year-old sweetheart with a tender heart and a cautious nature. She has not had much adoption interest, and we think it may be because she is not the kind of dog who shows her full personality right away. Isabelle needs someone who understands shy dogs and is willing to give her the time and space to build trust. Isabelle has some stranger-danger tendencies and can be fearful of new people. She is not a dog who wants strangers to rush up, reach for her, or expect instant affection. She needs slow introductions, patience, and people who will let her become familiar at her own pace. Once Isabelle feels safe, her sweet and affectionate side begins to shine. She wants to be loved — she just needs to believe she is safe first. Isabelle does best in a calm, peaceful environment. Loud noises can make her nervous, and busy, high-energy homes may be overwhelming for her. She would be happiest with adults or calm older teens who can offer consistency, kindness, and a quiet routine. She enjoys the simple comforts: tasty treats, a soft place to rest, and a comfortable dog bed for long naps. Treats are a great way to help her build confidence and positive associations. Isabelle gets along well with calm, easygoing cats and dogs. High-energy or overly enthusiastic dogs can make her nervous, especially if they get too close too quickly. A calm dog companion may help her feel more secure, but she would also do well in a peaceful home where her needs are respected. Isabelle is not looking for chaos or constant activity. She is looking for a soft place to land, patient people to trust, and a home where she can finally relax. Isabelle at a glance: * 8 years old * Sweet, tender-hearted, and cautious * Fearful of strangers / stranger-danger tendencies * Needs slow introductions and time to build trust * Best in a calm, quiet home * Not a fan of loud noises * Loves treats * Loves a comfortable dog bed for naps * Good with calm, easygoing dogs and cats * May do well with a calm dog companion * Needs patient adopters who understand shy or fearful dogs To view additional photos of Isabelle, please visit https://www.pawsumes.com/photos/28057/isabelle To adopt, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-application/ For information about adoption fee, please visit https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-fees/ To learn about the adoption process, please visit https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-process/ ** Please note that the breeds listed are our best guesses based on physical appearance and behavioral traits.
