Story
This handsome boy is Ned! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 11/18, with his bestie (possibly brother), Jed. Both boys are very sweet and loving. They seem to be quite bonded to one another, and they get upset when they're apart. We'd sure love to see them get adopted together! Both boys are well-mannered and treat-motivated. They will sit nicely for treats and they walk great on leash! Do you have room in your hearts and homes for these sweet boys? They'd love a new home in time for the holidays! Ned is approximately 2 years old, and he weighs 43 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and neutered; he will be microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Ned in run 825; his ID # is 651894. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. You can also show up between 10:30 & 4:00 Tues. thru Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an appointment, it doesn't reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!

Story
Zimmer is a beautiful boy and just look at those blue eyes! They make you melt! He is so lovable and sweet. He can be nervous when he meets new people, especially men.  We think he has been hit before and because of this, he likes a slow introduction.  He might bark at a new person that comes to the house, but he hasn't barked at anyone he's passed on walks and has approached people for pets when walking.  It doesn't take him long to warm up and then he loves being with his people.  He bonds quickly and deeply. We think his nervousness in meeting new people will lessen as he has more exposure to people and places. He also loves playing with dogs. He does not play fetch, so he loves going for walks or playtime with another dog to burn off his puppy energy.  He would love a home with another dog, but he’d also be fine if It’s just him and he’s your best bud as long as he gets some exercise. He is a big goof ball and he listens amazingly well.  He's very smart. He also loves to lay around with his family in the evenings.  He could be the perfect dog for you. He is fully housebroken, and crate trained and he doesn't make a peep in his crate. He is such a love.  He just wants to be someone's best friend. With cats, he needs a slow introduction to a dog savvy cat.  He will want to play with them. With kids, Zimmer is going to be nervous around high energy children that scream and run around so a home with older, calm teenagers is best.  He lives with two teenagers now.   Age: 1 year, 4 months  Weight:65 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative. Temperament:  good with older considerate kids, good with dogs . Training: House trained, some basic training, knows  Sit, Touch, Down, Come, Off the couch, Let it go, Go to your crate, name recall .  For questions please email  aimiablepetcare@aol.com   To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.  December 9, 2023, 5:15 pm

Story
At just under 6 months, Geneva is a very playful, loyal, eager to please young pup. She is both crate and potty trained when taken out in a timely manner. She loves playing with all dogs and is aloof to the cat. Geneva looks to her human for guidance, and obeys corrections nicely. We believe she is a Pointer mix with some Great Dane mixed in. She loves her people and is always ready for hugs and love. Are you her forever family that will give her the love she is so desperately longing for ? Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Allegra is a beautiful & friendly Pointer/Dalmation mix who was born Sept 2020. She loves to be outside, loves her toys, and loves playing fetch! She is a very smart girl & needs an experienced owner. She has had professional training, has good leash manners, and is looking for a home with an active person/family & a fenced yard. She is very energetic and would be a great running companion! She is people friendly, likes kids, and loves to get attention. She could easily knock small children over so older kids would be better. She is dog friendly and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but an only dog home would be OK for her. She is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped.December 3, 2023, 11:02 pm
