Yuri would love to find an active family who enjoys getting outside for walks or hikes. He is very social and enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes/ages. Yuri would prefer a home with a fenced yard and plenty of room to chase a ball. He likes to be where the action is, but also enjoys relaxing on the couch for a nap or belly rub. Yuri is housetrained and well behaved when home alone, so he doesn't need a crate and doesn't have separation anxiety. He is great on car rides and easy to take along on outings. Since Yuri is a young strong dog, who loves chasing squirrels, basic training on loose leash walking would be helpful. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. If you want to be greeted every time you come home by a thumping tail and a giant head that needs to be scratched, this may be the dog for you. Oden is excited and energetic, loyal, earnest, and endearing. He’s a total goofball lab born 10/31/2018. Warning: his favorite food is cheeseburgers, and cheeseburgers are the only food he will try to steal off the counter. His heart is in the right place, even when he doesn’t realize how big he is, bangs into people and furniture, and can’t figure out how to turn around on a couch. He is potty trained, knows sit and down, fully crate trained, loves car rides, and is eager to please and wants to make you happy. Oden gets along with other dogs if he is encouraged to meet them calmly. He loves to play, but is respectful of boundaries if another dog doesn't want to play with him. He also has never met a person (adult or kid) he hasn't immediately loved. Although he can get a bit too excited when meeting new people and shows off his big voice, he is getting better about quieting down quickly. While Oden loves children, he's not always aware of where his body is so it’s important to consider the possibility of him knocking down smaller bodies. He does pull quite a bit while walking on a leash so this is an area with room for improvement. Oden is not good around cats.   Oden's adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
