Story
Hi! I'm Brady! I'm from Kansas. From his foster; Brady is a stunning, exuberant, affectionate, athletic pointer mix. True to his breed, he is extremely high energy and needs physical and mental stimulation throughout the entire day. Brady needs a strong handler. He loves walks and does well on them, but is strong enough to pull you over if he catches a scent. Brady is eager to please and curious. He arrived only knowing "sit, but we're working on other commands and he is a quick learner. Brady would benefit from obedience classes to take him to the next level. I also have no doubt that he would thrive in agility or more advanced training. Brady loves all people and bonds fiercely with his primary human(s). He is distressed and anxious when his human leaves and we are working on that. He can be crated for short periods of time. He is only dog in foster home but seems non-reactive and dog friendly. Brady will do best in a home with: - Owners with breed experience and/or knowledge of sporting breeds, - Owners who are home majority of the day or who can invest in placing Brady in doggy day care if they are away; - Owners who can continue working on obedience training with Brady, - Active lifestyle (hikes, walks, runs) - A fenced yard, - Possibly other dog(s) to play with: he is currently only dog in foster home, but I think he might do really well with dog companion. I have not tested Brady with cats but he has drive to chase birds and squirrels so I would be wary of placement with cats. Brady is so sweet with humans- I think he'd be a great family dog, only concern for very young children is that he is super strong and plays rough.

Story
Hi! I'm Scooter! I'm from Arkansas! Hi there! My name is Scooter, but I love when my foster mom calls me Scooter Patooter. It really gets my tail wagging! I'm a really good boy who does well in my kennel, once you get me in there. I will push back at first but once I'm in, I settled in quickly. (Especially if you give me a Kong with some peanut butter in it!) I do really well in the house. I did have one accident, but that was my foster family's fault for not seeing my very obvious queues that I needed to go out! I'm amazing with other dogs. My foster sister and I cuddle all day long! I'm also amazing with kids. My three-year-old foster brother plays with me all day. I don't like to play rough though. I get a little nervous if someone comes at me too fast. I do not know if I like cats or not, but I'm very easy going so I don't think it will be a problem. I do have a few small things that I need a little more work with. I'm not very good at coming back inside. I could play in my foster families fenced in yard all day. I would rather do that than come back inside. I'm also very very shy with men, especially big men like my foster Dad. I do warm up, but it takes a while. Slowly we have become friends, but I still get nervous. It is best for men let me go to them because if they come to me too fast, I do pee a little bit because I'm scared. I also do not like loud sounds. As I said, my favorite toy is a Kong with peanut butter, but definitely no squeaky toys.

Story
When I was born, I assure you I didn't want to grow up to be left in a high kill shelter, however, that is what happened to me. LUCKILY, the fates (and some awesome rescue folks) aligned and saved me from certain death and brought me to a safe place where I can find a REAL family and a REAL home. Let me tell you about myself, I am cute, happy, loving, nervous at times, but have the long legs of a pointer! I have lots of energy for running, jumping and playing and I have the handsome chiseled jaw that most actors would love to have! Now if you need a great looking chap, look my way!!! ADOPT...........DON'T SHOP!!! My LIFE depends on it!!! LOcal adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)
