Story
Bubba is an affectionate, playful, and loyal pointer mix! My family found Bubba while camping over the fourth of July. Bubba was abandoned and starved yet he did not hesitate to be taken in and was incredibly loving from day one. Through diligent care, he is now fully healthy and ready to find his forever home! The vet believes him to be around 4-years old. He is neutered and fully vaccinated. He even knows basic commands! ~ We do not have any kids in the home, but Bubba has always been very friendly with anyone who approaches him. He loves playing with the neighbor dog through the fence, though he does need proper leash training. His current household has cats, but he does need supervision due to getting excitable. ~ My family unfortunately does not have the capacity to become Bubba's forever family, but they want to make sure he goes to a home full of love! Please reach out if you, or someone you know, might be interested in taking him in!

Story
Bubba is some sort of pointer mix and is about 4 years old. Such a sweet boy who has always welcomed affection and has such a love for life. When we found him, he was quite emaciated and required proper refeeding and lots of love. Our family felt as though he found us for a reason and therefore he has been at home with us, hoping his owners may respond to social media posts however this never happened and unfortunately, he was never microchipped. He is doing really well right now in regards to having gained appropriate weight and although we will miss him, we are not in a position to keep him long term. Bubba is a high energy dog that thinks he is a lap dog:) Requires ability to get significant amount of exercise daily. Loves walks, car rides and palling around. Knows basic commands. Walks well on a leash but requires redirection with bunnies/other dogs/some people as he will bark. Has started to play along fence line with neighbors dog. Warming up to our FIVE cats :)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $400 plus tax Are you looking for a dog to have active adventures with? Look no further because Chilly is ready and willing! He absolutely adores his people and with his stylish looks, he gains admirers quickly. However, he needs an owner who understands that he gets nervous when strangers try to reach out right away and pet him on the head.  He may bark at them in protest if his owners have not advocated for a slower introduction for him.  He loves doing commands and tricks for his treats and that helps him feel more secure in new surroundings and around new people. He's very proud and eager to show off!  We feel he could benefit from a confident sibling to show him that new scenarios and people are nothing to be afraid of. He has been going to pet friendly places like the local hardware store and Petco and enjoys these training sessions. He can be pretty strong on leash at times but a gentle leader solves that problem and helps him focus on his person better.  He’s very good in the car too so it’s a joy to bring him places. He is mostly done with the puppy chewing stage but he may get bored when left alone so a kennel might still be the best for him. He doesn’t mind his crate and happily runs in there for his meals and when it’s time for his owners to leave the house for work or errands.   Since he’s still very young and active, he would like a home with lots of opportunities to use his brain to learn new things and go on plenty of adventures!  He likes playing with his toys and will do a little fetch out in the yard with a variety of toys.  He also loves to help get ice cubes out of the freezer!  What a clown… and don’t worry, he will seek out attention and let you know when it’s time to get off the couch or put down your phone to go have fun and embrace life He's been nothing but fantastic with all the other dogs he's met, big and small—always looking for a playmate.  He has been enjoying trips to the dog park and checks in with his foster owners frequently.  Deep down, he's just a big happy dog who's loving life right now! This fun, smart, boy has a lot to offer and will make you smile and laugh every day!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Sadie is a comical, quirky, and spunky girl. She came from a neglect case in rural Kentucky, where she and other dogs were found abandoned and starving in an outdoor pen. Sadie is fortunate to be alive! Sadie is spunky when she is outside. Inside the house, she loves to curl up in a blanket on your bed or be cozy in a dog bed. Sadie loves bully sticks and will work them down as a beloved pastime. Sadie is well-behaved in the house, housebroken, and quiet. When she sees something out the window, she may alert vocally though! She is approximately 8 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. When outside, Sadie loves to zip around and explore. She does need a 6-foot fence as she can climb over a 4-foot fence. Sadie loves to go to the dog park and her favorite activity is to bark at other dogs in hopes that they will run so she can chase them.  Sadie is also a squirrel enthusiast so she will tree them and bark, both  in the yard and at the dog park, so sometimes she does need to be re-directed. Sadie loves to chase and bark at other dogs. She does not harm them, though she likes to dominate them like this to get them to play her game.   Sadie zips around like a racehorse at times and is agile and free. She goes from zero to 40 in about 3 seconds. Sadie is a joy to watch at the dog park, just keep walking (taking the lead) and that refocuses her energy! Sadie does have a little random incontinence (likely due to her age) and is on a medicine called Proin. She takes half a tab twice a day and it seems to help her greatly.  Sadie is a bit of an alpha, but can easily live with other dogs, and does mingle with all kinds of dogs at a dog park. Sadie is good with other dogs, older kids, but no cats for Sadie. This senior gal is very lovey-dovey, and loves to be pet, pampered, and smooched. She has a soft, yet also spunky nature and exudes sweet southern charm. Sadie is definitely one of a kind! Interested in adopting? Please complete an interest form on our website  here  If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org *Sadie's adoption fee is $495 + MN tax* redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue  All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@8 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dog's actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information ond observations we have.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 20, 2025, 4:46 pm
