Story
(DOB 11/13/2022) Mason is a big, loveable, wonderful boy! Be prepared for some love and affection when you meet Mason. This big boy has a knack for leaning right into you, seeking scratches and cuddles. Speaking of scratches, he loves that sweet spot on his back, near his tail scratced; it feels wonderful and he'll be sure to share his big smile! This adorable dog with a heart of gold is all about spending quality time with his favorite people. Whether it's going for long walks, snuggling on the couch, or playing fetch in the back yard, Mason is up for any adventure as long as he's with you! Mason would love a big yard to romp and run in but he's just as happy going for a walk with you! Mason is a social butterfly when it comes to interacting with other dogs. He loves making new friends and playing around, but he prefers smaller play groups to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Cats, on the other hand, don't quite understand Mason's playful nature, so it's best to give them a wide berth! He might not realize his own size, and he can be a bit clumsy at times. So, older kids who understand his exuberance are his best playmates! Don't be fooled by his silly antics – Mason is one smart cookie! He has mastered impressive tricks like sitting, spinning, and shaking, all for the promise of a tasty treat. Easy to crate, he'll only make a peep if he can't see you, so you can rest assured that your home will stay peaceful with Mason around, but when he does bark, it is loud.  When it comes to toys, there's one that reigns supreme in Mason's heart: a squeaky rubber chicken. He'll toss it, bat it, and have a grand old time playing with it all by himself. If you want to join in on the fun, just throw it and watch Mason happily chase after it! A rubber Frisbee is also a favorite, though he doesn't always bring it back – hey, sharing can be overrated! With Mason by your side, you'll always feel safe and secure. He's a natural watch dog who will bark at any stranger. Always the protector, he would do better in a home that doesn't have a have a lot of company in and out, and will need proper introduction to household visitors.  Mason embodies the true meaning of loyalty and will be by your side through thick and thin. So, if you're looking for a hilarious, loving, and slightly clumsy companion, look no further than Mason the dog. He's ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and endless joy. Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime with this lovable goofball! As part of Mason's $325 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Mason, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1708177##

Story
(DOB 01/20/2021) Mia is a low-maintenance pup and is always up for a snuggle session. With her gentle nature and affectionate personality, she's the perfect companion for anyone seeking a furry friend to share their love and affection with. Mia's heart is as big as her adorable paws, making her the ultimate snuggle buddy. Don't miss out on the chance to bring this sweet and easy-going girl into your life! Mia will do well with furry siblings or an owner that can provide enough attention so she could also be an only dog. She is also good with children but is startled by quick/sudden movements. So older, more experienced dog-kiddos are best suited for her. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. Other than that, she really loves everyone she meets. She is already both house and crate trained and is well behaved in her crate. She enjoys going out for walks and is leash trained. She is learning new things like car rides and is a little nervous at first but settles in nicely on the drive.  Mia has the silkiest ears with the cutest little freckles on them. She has a smile that will warm your heart and radiate throughout the day. She is at a great age and is a wonderful mid-size. Plus, she can do that super cute brow furrow that wrinkles up and is so adoarble. She really checks off so many boxes and will add so much love to you and your family!! If you are looking for a lifetime of unconditional love, Mia wants to meet you! Fill out an application today! As part of Mia's $300 adoption fee she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. If you have any questions about this girl you can email dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Mia, you can fill out an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet tab on our website www.pawsforlifenc.org.  ##1652954##

Story
(DOB 05/31/2025) Due to Kacey’s young age, she has not been spayed yet. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within a 1-hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).  Kacey is a sweet, playful girl with a big heart and an even bigger love for life! This happy pup is full of youthful energy, curiosity, and charm, and she’s ready to grow into an amazing companion with the right family by her side. She is as beautiful as she is sweet. You will be drawn in by her mezmeizing eyes and gorgeous coat! Kacey would thrive in a home with prior puppy experience and a commitment to patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Like any young pup, she’s still learning the ropes and will need continued training, especially as she grows bigger and stronger. Daily walks, playtime, enrichment, and opportunities to practice her leash manners will help her burn energy and build confidence. For Kacey, another fun, playful dog in the home is a must-have and would make her tail wag nonstop. This girl does best when she can stay engaged and close to her people. A family or person with a flexible schedule whether that means working from home, mid-day check-ins, or the use of doggie day camp will help her succeed, as she’s still working through some separation anxiety and truly misses her humans when they’re gone. After a full day of adventures, training, and play, she settles in nicely and enjoys curling up in her crate for a cozy night’s sleep. Kacey would do well in a home with respectful, older kids who understand typical puppy behaviors like jumping and occasional nipping as she learns boundaries. She’s also learning about sharing; this toy-loving girl can be a bit of a toy hog, so her future family should be ready to continue positive reinforcement training to help her practice polite give and take. She can live with cats too, as long as everyone understands she may chase them in an effort to play. A fenced backyard would be a wonderful bonus for Kacey, but it’s not required for the right active family committed to meeting her needs. Above all, she’s looking for a home filled with love, companionship, structure, and lots of fun. If you’re ready for puppy kisses, play sessions, and watching a sweet girl blossom, Kacey may be your perfect match. As part of Kacey’s $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Kacey, you can complete an application online for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2623177##
