Story
Hi my name is Mia and I am looking for my forever home.  I am a 4 year old English Pointer/American Bulldog mix.  I was thrilled when I got to go somewhere and super excited when I realized that I was going to meet Santa.  I have been such a good girl this year as I have been patiently waiting for my forever family to find me.  Santa asked me what I wanted for Christmas.  I only want one thing.  All I want for Christmas is a forever family.  I truly am a great girl.  If you are an active couple or family looking for the perfect dog then you have found her in me.  I am super sweet, loving and very smart.  I am a lean 50 lbs and the ultimate athlete.  I love to walk and am great on a leash.  I also love to run and zoomies are my favorite.  MI would love a family that will take me for walks and for runs and who also has a big fenced in yard where I can perform my zoomies!  You will be amazed by my speed and agility.   I am also very smart.  I know sit, stay, lay and will go into my crate when told (though not her favorite place).  I am a very social dog and want to be with my people.  I am happy laying on the sofa next to you to watch a ball game and would love a pillow on your bed where I can lay my head.  I will try not to take up most of the room!!  I am the ultimate family dog and want to be involved in whatever is going on.  Trip to Home Depot and I am in the car.  Just going for a drive, I am ready for that too.  Going to the park or on a hike, I am ready and a great companion.  If you prefer a dog walker, I will be ready when they come.  I can spend a little while alone but would really prefer someone to be home.  I would also prefer to be an only dog.  I love my humans and want all the attention.  I has been spayed and am current on all my shots and microchipped.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Mia is actually in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)June 1, 2023, 10:46 pm

Story
Hi there! My name is Jerry! I came all the way from NC in hopes to find my forever home :) I'm a young guy looking for some love. At first I can be a little nervous meeting new people, but if you give me some time to warm up I'll love you forever. Since I'm nervous with meeting new people, a household with older kids would be best for me. Those small children move too quickly for me. I would do best in a home as the only dog. I just want you all to myself! If you are unable to adopt, please consider helping support Jerry and his friends by clicking on the donate button below his profile. It would be pawsitively awesome!

Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Twilight is a pointer mix, around 10 weeks old and 7 lb. She is very sweet and friendly with all people. She is learning to sit and working on potty training already. With continued training, she’s going to be a great family dog. She’s pretty laid back for a puppy but also shows her playful side. Email  almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com  for an adoption application for Twilight!  (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Please read Suzanne Clothier's wonderful article, "It Takes a Pack to Raise a Puppy!" PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php and http://www.hollysden.com/say_no_to_shock.htm (scroll down and click on the  "Invisible Fencing Systems" link). We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us atAlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 1, 2023, 11:07 pm

Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Stripe (from a patriotic themed litter) is about 11 weeks old and 10 lb. He is a super sweet and relatively calm puppy who gets along with all of the dogs and kids in his foster home. He’s a gorgeous pup with striking tiger stripes and expressive eyes. He’s already working on crate, house, and leash training in his foster home and will need continued practice in his forever home. He’s a typical teething puppy but he tries to be gentle with his love nibbles. He’d be happy paired with a confident resident dog and a fenced yard for play time. Email almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com to learn more about and meet Stripe!    (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
