Story
Meet Buck! Big boy Buck is one of our newer arrivals to HAP from one of our partners shelters in the South! He is the happiest, goofiest, wiggliest, silly boy there is! Anytime Buck sees a human, his big ole tail is wagging back and forth and that's quickly followed by full body wiggles. Once he gets close enough, he's putting all that weight on you so he can soak up all the loving he can. When he's not getting pets, Buck has been trying to figure out this thing called fetch. So far he's not the biggest fan as he'll go chase after something but hasn't figured out the bringing it back part yet. He's been recovering from his neuter so he hasn't had any play dates with other dogs yet but he's seemed interested in other dogs so we could schedule a dog meet if you have current dogs in the home to see if he'd make a good playmate! Buck is a long and lean boy and sometimes doesn't realize his size when he pushes in for attention so kids in the home would just have to be comfortable with a big dog with barnacle tendencies (he is the cutest barnacle we've ever seen though). He does however walk really well on the leash and knows how to sit so big boy does have some manners. So if you're looking for a dog that's always going to make you laugh, Buck is the guy for you! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Hey there — I'm Henny, a spirited 1-year-old white Pointer mix who's ready to learn and grow with you! 🐕 I'm neutered and full of energy, so I thrive best in an active home where we can explore together — I'm your adventure buddy and ball of energy rolled into one. I'm still working on my leash skills and life skills, but I'm food-motivated and eager to please, and I absolutely love kids and people (I'm a total social butterfly and snuggle monster). I might be a little shy at first and I'll need a few visits to warm up, but once I do, I'm all yours — a sweetheart who just wants to be your velcro dog. My adoption fee is $200, and I promise that with patience and an active family, I'll be the loving companion you've been waiting for! ❤️ 📍 The Center for Animal Health and Welfare PA Kennel License #02941 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.8/4/26 Freckles and Confetti are a special pair of bonded sisters who are looking for a home where they can stay together. They are such sweet babies. I do not know their breed, but my guess would be bird dog mix. I rescued them out of the woods when I was driving by and saw them run into a drainage culvert. I stopped and they ran into the woods. These girls heavily rely on eachother and I would hate to seperate them. They want so badly to be loved, but until they were rescued, the only love they had known was from eachother. They wag their tails and belly crawl to me, but they are still a bit timid. You can tell they have experienced a lot of neglect and possibly abuse in their lives. But they love to be held and loved on. They are just very insecure. Freckles and Confetti are crate trained and they are very well behaved when crated. No accidents and no crying. They feel safe in their crate and don't mind it at all. They are about 4 months old and each weigh between 20-25 lbs, with Freckles being slightly larger. They will probably be in the 50-60 lbs range once grown. They are not high energy puppies. They play with each other some but mostly they cuddle and have a lower energy level for young puppies. They are precious little souls that need a patient and understanding family who will show them that there are kind people in the world. Despite their fears and insecurities, they have never growled or acted aggressively in any way, they want so desperately to be loved on. They have made great progress here and they will continue to gain confidence once in a loving home. Please consider adopting this little pair. We will happily reduce fees to help with the cost of adopting the 2 of them together. They are spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.Located in Arkansas and can be adopted locally, or can transport to the New England area if adopted there. If adopted in New England, adopter will need to pick up (or arrange for a trusted friend/family to pick him up) on a Saturday in MD, PA, NJ, or CT. Residents of other states may adopt as well, as long as they can meet our transporter along their route. For questions or more info, email apps.aasr@gmail.com.To apply to adopt, click here:https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
