Story
Located in Seven Valleys, PA Meet Spencer! 🐾 Spencer is a 6-month-old, 40-pound suspected Lab/Pointer mix with the sweetest disposition you could ever ask for. This handsome boy is crate trained, loves everyone he meets, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Spencer’s favorite pastime is taking himself for walks—yes, he proudly carries his own leash around! He is currently working on potty training and is eager to keep learning. When he’s not out exploring, you’ll likely find him lounging nearby, soaking up all the love and attention. In fact, Spencer is such a laid-back guy that his foster family has never even heard him bark! If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with a heart of gold, Spencer may just be your perfect match. ❤️

Story
LOCATION: Linden, VA Chip's adoption fee is fully sponsored — lucky pup! 🐶 Meet Chip! Chip is a fun-loving, energetic pup with a big heart and an impressive affinity for fetch – he’s truly a natural athlete! Whether he’s chasing a ball or entertaining himself with his toys, Chip brings a playful spirit and joy to everyday life. He also loves baths! Chip may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and loyal personality shines. He forms strong bonds and loves being close to his people—whether that’s relaxing on the couch or lying at your feet while you work. He’s still a puppy, though, and can get a little mouthy or overly excited during play but redirects well when given cues and boundaries. He will thrive in a home that offers structure and encouragement where he can continue building confidence. • Secure yard: Chip loves having space to run and play freely. • Exercise: He’s an active pup who benefits from regular playtime. He’s improving on leash walks but can still be a little fearful in new environments. • Companions: Chip has done well with other dogs, from calm companions to rough-and-rowdy playmates. He is also good with cats! • Crate trained: Chip does well in his crate and settles nicely, sometimes putting himself in for naps or chew toy time. He sleeps through the night and does not have crate accidents. • Potty training: Chip is still working on potty training and will need continued consistency and routine. • Toys: Chip has experienced a lot of change in his short life so far and can sometimes be protective of toys or high-value items, but he responds well to trades and positive reinforcement. • Kids: Chip does well with older children who can respect his space and help him continue building confidence. Are you Chip's hero? If so, apply to adopt today!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. NOTE- MUTTLEY IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.  Valley View Animal Rescue email: amybennettwashburn@gmail.com Phone: (540) 862-1756Muttley is one of eight puppies we took in back in August of 2025. Six of his siblings have been adopted, but he and his brother, Scrappy, are still looking for furever homes! He is a playful and curious pal with very adoring eyes and loves everyone that he meets. While he prefers to dine alone at a table for one, he loves playing with other pups and would enjoy a canine sibling. Muttley wants to be your next best friend to take EVERYWHERE, whether it be Petsmart, family gatherings, or a day out in nature. He would best suit a home with a fenced-in yard and someone willing to continue his training.   Would you consider making him a new member of your household? Six of his siblings have found furever homes, but he and his brother, Muttley, are still searching. He is a resilient and brave dog, having had a scar on his back and an umbilical hernia as a pup, which have both been corrected and proven no further complications. Scrappy loves to run, play, and explore, and would be a good companion for hiking trips and other outdoor activities. He is very food motivated (and prefers to eat alone) and could use some obedience/leash training paired with regular play time and exercise. He enjoys making friends with humans and dogs alike and would make a wonderful dog for an active family. Could he be the one for you?   For more information, contact the phone number above or to apply, our adoption application link is: https://forms.office.com/r/qpqJJH6CD2 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 30, 2026, 8:59 pm

Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Poppy is a great all around family dog and one who you will be proud to call 'Our girl.' Her foster says 'She is a total sweetheart', and she gave us a great write up on Poppy, so you can get to know her before you ever see her.  Poppy is happiest when lying in the sun or napping next to you on the couch. She also likes to sleep at the end of the bed next to your feet.  She is completely housetrained and has never had an accident in the house (she currently enjoys the freedom of a fenced in yard for potty breaks). She will let you know when it is time to play with her tennis ball or go for her daily walk to explore the neighborhood by giving you a look and a bark. Unfortunately, she has issues with smaller dogs and has bitten them when provoked or feeling jealous, so no smaller dogs in her new family. She plays well with bigger dogs and goes to doggy daycare twice a week for socialization, where the staff absolutely adores her. She currently lives with a 70lb coonhound mix who she likes to play with. Poppy came to us three years ago with severe separation anxiety issues but has come a long way and does well for a few hours in her “indestructible” crate – just give her a peanut butter-filled Kong and she will do okay while you go out for a bit. Poppy is looking for a home where she can be the center of your world and she will repay you with unconditional love and companionship. What makes Poppy great… ·         Relatively low energy dog who just enjoys being with her owner(s). She has bouts of energy and will want to play fetch but never for too long. ·         Zero food aggression. She eats when she is hungry, and she loves to savor her treats and thinks ice cubes are the best treat ever! ·         Loves to go on walks and they don’t have to be super long – 10-15 minutes a night keeps her happy, but will happily join you on a longer walk when possible. ·         LOVES people and will happily greet your guests with enthusiasm. She has been around small children with no issues. ·         Well socialized with dogs her size or bigger by going to doggy daycare twice a week (and will be zonked out all night after a day of playing). However, she seems to be more interested in people than other dogs in general. ·         Knows basic commands like sit, shake and come. ·         She is great in cars. She will chill out in the back seat and just enjoy the view. ·         Overall very healthy with no major issues. Where Poppy has some challenges… ·         Separation anxiety – would not do well for long days without someone home – highly recommended that she be crated while alone to avoid any damage to property. ·         Aggression toward smaller dogs – when feeling jealous or annoyed. ·         Good on leash but could use more training/reinforcement as she will get overly excited (pulling, barking) when she sees another dog.   Full of life and love, she is all ready to be yours. She has had a complete vetting and has all her shots. All she needs now to complete her world is for you to clip on your leash, bend over, and say 'Let's go home, Poppy'. If you are interested in Poppy, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 30, 2026, 8:59 pm
