Meet Lovely Lucy, female 1 year old Short Hair Pointer Lab mix which makes her very loyal, sweet and friendly. She is spayed, heartworm free, all shots done, including rattlesnake and has 6 months supply of flea and tick meds. She was abandoned in my neighborhood and may have had a tussle with another animal as her knee was strained, but she is on the road to health and can run, run, run! She also sits, stays, has learned to jump over posts, and hopped right into the tub for her bath. She is learning to not pull on a leash and getting better everyday. She enjoys sitting on a porch with the water hose running around her while she laps up the water. She is not aggressive, loves all ages, all people, dogs and cats. She needs a big yard to play with her favorite toys and plenty of love because she deserves it. She weighs 70 pounds.Lucy is in obedience training and is doing great!!!! Ahoy! I'm Smee, and just like my namesake from Peter Pan, I'm on the hunt for my very own Captain Hook... except I'm hoping mine comes with treats, belly rubs, and a forever home! Born in November 2025 and weighing around 70 pounds, I'm a big, goofy puppy with the sweetest heart. People say I look like a little cow—not just because of my adorable black-and-white markings, but because I'm built like one too! My size might be impressive, but I'm really just a gentle giant who wants to be close to my people. If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I LOVE water. Kiddie pools, stock tanks, puddles—you name it! My favorite pastime is climbing into a water tank, sinking down until I'm completely submerged, and leaving just my eyes above the surface like a little alligator. It's guaranteed to make you laugh. When I'm not making a splash, you'll usually find me carrying around a toy or convincing someone to play a game of tug-of-war. I get along great with other dogs and love having canine friends, but if you ask me what I love most, the answer is easy: people. I'm the definition of a loyal companion. I'll happily rest my big head on your shoulder or in your lap, soaking up all the love you're willing to give. Even though I'm still a puppy (which means I have the occasional silly puppy moment), I'm surprisingly laid-back and easygoing. I'm also working hard on my potty training, and I'm doing a fantastic job! I'm eager to learn and even more eager to make my family proud. You know that because he lays his head in your lap.) likes being around people, lays head on lap, loves to play, is super curious about everything, very food motivated 6. What is the dog's/cat's best qualities? his curiosity, sweet disposition, very silly and makes goofy noises 7. What are your favorite things about this dog/cat? Cute behaviors? he’s so loving and loves to play with his people and animal friends, he sometimes gets so excited to see you or play that he will fall over and get tripped up over his own feet 8. What is/are your favorite physical characteristic(s) of this dog/cat? the spots on his ears and his adorable overbite! 9. What would the ideal home look like for this dog/cat? someone patient with high energy dogs, who can go on lots of walks and play time with him and also love to snuggle! he’s ok with cats that like dogs and great with other dogs, but sometimes doesn’t know his own size so not sure how small dogs would feel about him. while i think he’d do ok with kids, he does jump sometimes. 10. Anything else that would make this dog/cat stand out to an adopter? he’s learning so quickly! commands, potty training, kennel. he’s smarter than you think. Medical/Behavior Issue 1. He loves spending time outdoors, playing with toys, and happily accepts treats during training. Fuego settles well in his kennel when he has a few fun chew toys to keep him entertained, making him a wonderful companion with a playful, loving personality.
