Story
Banter is an adorable 5 year old male Pomeranian mix, playful, easygoing, and is good with other dogs. He loves to wrestle and play tug of war with toys with a 2 year old Milo alum that he is being fostered with. He is also good with an older female large pointer mix he is being fostered with. Banter is house-trained, settles well in a crate, walks well on leash, and respond to his name as well as a couple basic commands. He is sweet and very affectionate, and likes to sit by his foster mom when she's working. Banter can be a little nervous, although has settled nicely over the three weeks he has been in foster. He warms up to people quickly and will be a great buddy for adventures. He is very treat motivated, gentle taking treats from your hand, and loves frequent walks. An adult only home or home with older kids is recommended as he can be a little mouthy.

Story
Introducing Nia, she is back in our care, unfortunately it wasnt working in the household she was in. She is about 7 yrs old, Pomeranian mix. Nia is a sweet girl who feels like she has to protect her people. She came from a home that cared for her but that's all. She never went on walks or played with toys. She loves to be with other dogs her size. Nia loves her crate as well and she is so loving and just wants to be with a person. She is great on walks, plays with toys and loves being brushed. She had to get a hair cut because her fur was too matted, but she still enjoys to be brushed. Nia does need some work with strangers coming into her house, as she feels like she has to protect it. Adoption fees include: Spay or Neuter, All vaccinations are up to date, and a microchip. If you have current pets we do allow a two week trial period for $50. This allows us to make sure that the animal will fit in with the resident animals.Come meet me!Countryside Rescue is open Tuesday - Friday 11am to 3pm by appointment only.Appointments can be made by calling 707-542-5582 or emailing countrysiderescuesr@gmail.com.  Please ensure that you receive a confirmation of your appointment before arriving to ensure we are properly staffed for your visit.Drop-In (Without an appointment) Satruday from 11am to 3pm.  We are closed Sunday and Monday.                                                                                                                                                Please complete our online applicationat  https://forms.gle/7bTM6sZbZRznPCJu7 ##1861056##

Story
This irresistible, crunchy peanut is a perfectly-sized nugget of fluff. Funsized is a goofy, friendly, snuggly, and portable pooch who loves to snack. Just one tiny piece of cheese, and you'll have a new best friend for life. And Funsized is ready for a family-sized amount of love. Here's some notes from his foster: Looking for a calm, quiet little gentleman to keep you company? Funsized is your guy! I've had this sweet little fellow for just a few days and he's settled in so nicely. He enjoys going out for short walks and saying hello to other dogs, but is so content just snoozing the day (and night) away on the couch. Aside from some adorable old man grumbles, he doesn't make a peep. Funsized doesn't seem to be sensitive to noises at all and does fine hanging out at home alone. He hasn't had any accidents and knows to go potty outside. He loves sleeping so much that he usually doesn't stir until I wake him up in the morning. This special guy has been through a lot lately and is looking for a family that can give him some extra TLC as he starts this next chapter.

Story
Gilbert Grape is 3-6 years old and 13 pounds. Gilbert is a joy! He is active, as expected for a Spitz breed, but can settle down when there isn't anyone around to play with. He loves playing with other dogs, and would be great in a home with another dog. He is totally house trained and knows how to use a dog door. He is always ready for a walk and doesn't bark at others while out; he does pull on leash. He is very sweet with his people and he meets new people well. He would be fine in a home with older children. He does bark when his people leave and might not be a good apartment dog, but does not actually have separation anxiety. Gilbert is believed to be a full Pomeranian by people who know the breed. His ideal home will have experience taking care of a Pomeranian coat, because Gilbert's fur is gorgeous now. If not experienced, then someone that wants to learn. Gilbert had cherry eye (prolapse of the third eyelid gland) when he came to us, but it has been surgically corrected. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Gilbert is $300. If you are interested in adopting Gilbert, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.
