My dad brought home our dog Copper 10 years ago to celebrate moving to our first home as a family. He is a very energetic and silly dog who loves treats and scratches and grew up with us until my dad fell ill with pancreatic cancer. No longer being able to take care of Copper, we've been attempting to rehome him for the past 4 years, which has added stress to him and has lost prior trainings of being housebroken. He was left to my mom for the time after my father passed and the kids moved out for school and work opportunities, but now my mom is also sick with stage 4 bone cancer and has not been able to consistently care for him. He is not fixed or up to date with his shots, does not regularly exercise, and is currently being kept outside in a small patio area as to not disturb my mom as she starts hospice treatment. He has been rehomed to multiple friends, family and coworkers, but has been returned due to fighting with other dogs, injury/illness of adoptees, or being too loud.

Barnaby is a cute little 12 1/2 pound boy. He loves to cuddle, loves his toys, and loves to go on walks. He is crate trained, and is working on potty training. He gets very excited around other dogs, and is learning to walk on a leash. If you are willing to help him continue to be a good doggie citizen, he will reward you with many years of love and companionship. (ES)

Story
This is the most entertaining little teddy bear of a creature that you will ever meet. Butters is a young adult 5-pound Pomeranian who came from a backyard breeding situation, so he’s still getting accustomed to being handled by people. He loves people, though, and loves to play with other dogs. That being said, he should be the king of his castle (by that, we mean, we feel he would be best as the only dog in the home). He’s learning that life can be full of love, joy and adventure and that’s exactly what we want for him. Butters deserves the world. His personality is as sweet as his looks are stunning. Those “looks” include lion and teddy bear. We love him no matter the haircut. He will need some time and patience to come out of his shell, but he’s trying so hard and he follows us everywhere. He loves doing barnyard chores, he loves rides in the truck, and he loves to play with the puppies in the shelter. He wants to be the center of someone’s world, and we are here to find that for him.

Buffy is 11 years old, and was rescued as a puppy. She's a Pomeranian mix. She's incredibly sweet and loving, and has a playful side. She loves to play fetch, but never brings the ball back :). We're looking for a caring home where Buffy can play and enjoy her twilight years.
