Chloe is a sweet 5 year old dog but needs someone who can give her more attention. She is energetic & loves to play. Chloe loves belly rubs & loves to sit on people’s laps. We had a new baby and Chloe has become aggressive towards our children. We think she should be in a home of just adults who can care for her & properly trained her. Chloe was adopted from another family & showed signs of previously because neglected. We hope we can find someone to give her the love and care she deserves.

Very pregnant and waiting in a shelter, Teacher’s Pet went into labor just as DPS was coming to her rescue. She delivered her first couple of puppies at the shelter, welcomed a few more during the car ride, and finished delivering the litter safely in a DPS foster home—all within a matter of hours. Through it all, she remained one remarkably cool customer.   Since their dramatic arrival, these puppies have been raised in a loving foster home alongside three children and two dogs. They are wonderfully social, affectionate, playful, and accustomed to the cheerful chaos of family life. We don’t know anything about their dad, but judging by this group’s impressive fluff, he may have had quite the hairdo!   Daily Schedule   The puppies begin their day around 7 a.m. with a breakfast of puppy kibble softened with a little water. Once they have eaten, they come out of their pen for playtime with the children, resident dogs, and one another. At 8 a.m., they settle into their pen while the family leaves for school and work, and they do well together until the older children return home around 3–4 p.m.   After their afternoon meal, it’s time for another round of puppy play. The rest of the day is a happy rotation of wrestling, exploring, backyard adventures, cuddling, and crashing into puppy naps. Dinner is served around 8–9 p.m., followed by one final—and often very loud—burst of energy before everyone settles down around 10–10:30 p.m.   Staples   Male | Red collar | Light coat | 5 pounds   Staples is an outgoing, playful boy who is always ready to join the fun. One of the largest and tallest puppies in the litter, he has long legs, a hearty appetite, and an exceptionally fluffy coat that frequently sticks up in front of his eyes.   He loves wrestling with his siblings, playing with toys, and settling in with a good chew bone. His energy arrives in hilarious spurts: one minute he is racing around like recess will never end, and the next he is stretched out quietly observing the rest of the class. Staples will be a fun, affectionate companion for a family ready to keep up with both his playful side and his impressive fluff.   Pencil   Male | Orange collar | Light coat | 3 pounds, 13 ounces   Pencil may be the smallest puppy in the litter, but this tiny student is no pushover! He can initially appear a little reserved, but he warms up quickly and has a wonderfully cuddly side.   While his siblings may occasionally try to boss him around, Pencil is perfectly capable of standing up for himself when necessary. Most of the time, however, he is content to mind his own business and chew on his toys while the others create chaos around him. With his sweet face, gentle nature, and one adorable paw tipped with white fur, Pencil is often the first puppy to capture a visitor’s heart.   Ruler   Male | Yellow collar | Dark coat | 4 pounds, 8 ounces   Ruler sets a very high standard for friendliness! Smart, confident, and gentle, he is a happy little guy who loves being close to people and never turns down an opportunity to snuggle.   Ruler is also remarkably comfortable around larger dogs. He happily plays with both his mama and the family’s large resident dog—and Teacher’s Pet seems to think he is the most entertaining puppy in the whole class. With his long, fluffy fur and sunny personality, Ruler is an affectionate, adaptable pup who approaches life as though every day is the best day ever.   Notebook   Female | Green collar | Dark coat | 5 pounds, 2 ounces   Notebook is packed with personality! Curious, energetic, and always on the move, she likes to investigate everything happening around her—and occasionally a few things that probably shouldn’t be happening at all.   She has shorter legs and a slightly shorter coat than most of her siblings, but this sturdy little girl currently holds the title of heaviest puppy in the litter. Notebook can be a mischievous class clown who starts a little sibling drama or finds her way into something unexpected, but she knows exactly how to win everyone back with cuddles and enthusiastic puppy kisses. Life with Notebook promises plenty of entertainment, affection, and stories worth writing down.   Sharpie   Female | Teal collar | Multicolored coat | 4 pounds, 2 ounces   Sharpie is an easygoing, silly girl with a beautifully varied coat and an impressive amount of fluff. She is the most laid-back member of the litter, happily going with the flow while remaining curious enough to explore new places and try new things.   Social and comfortable in a variety of situations, Sharpie enjoys playing with her mama and spending time with people. Her greatest weakness is a good belly rub—scratch the right spot and her back foot starts kicking as though it has a mind of its own! Sharpie’s relaxed nature, confidence, and lovable sense of humor make her an especially charming little companion.   Crayon   Female | Blue collar | Dark coat | 4 pounds, 8 ounces   Crayon has colored outside the lines and grown into one big personality! Originally one of the quieter, gentler puppies, she has become increasingly outgoing, playful, and eager to join every game.   She loves romping with her siblings and playing with the family’s large resident dog. Crayon is often the one who officially starts playtime by pouncing on another puppy or grabbing a tempting leg or tail. Her dark snout and distinctive stripe down her back give her a look all her own. Curious, social, and full of fun, Crayon is ready to fill her future home with laughter.   Eraser   Female | Purple collar | Light coat | 4 pounds, 2 ounces   Eraser—affectionately known as “Little Lavender” before receiving her official name—is the litter’s champion cuddle bug. She absolutely loves people and wants to be beside you, on top of you, or somehow tucked into whatever space you are occupying.   When she isn’t snuggling, Eraser is likely to have a serious case of the zoomies. She loves sprinting in circles and entertaining her foster family with her silly adventures, including burrowing under blankets and then becoming adorably confused about how to escape. Friendly, affectionate, and endlessly funny, she takes after her mama Teacher’s Pet, who has never met a stranger. She came to DPS while in labor and gave birth to seven beautiful babies— some at the shelter, some during her freedom ride, and the rest safely in a DPS foster home! Through it all, she remained calm, trusting, and devoted to her puppies. She has been an exceptional mama, but now that her babies are growing up, Teacher’s Pet is ready to graduate into a forever home of her own.   The Daily Lesson Plan   Teacher’s Pet begins her day around 7 a.m. with an immediate trip outside to potty. After breakfast, she usually heads back into the yard to finish her business or simply enjoy the morning air. Before her foster family leaves for the day, she helps clean the puppies’ faces and joins them for playtime.   While everyone is at school and work from about 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., Teacher’s Pet stays loose in several gated rooms with one of the resident dogs and access to her puppies. She handles this time beautifully and has shown no signs of separation anxiety. When her family returns, she greets them at the door with enthusiastic jumps and happy little whines until someone gives her the love she has been waiting for.   Dinner is served around 6 p.m., followed by a mixture of playtime, family time, and naps. She takes one final potty trip around 10 p.m. and sleeps in the kitchen, usually choosing a dog bed or the cozy space beneath the table instead of the available crate.   Teacher’s Favorite Subject: Affection   If cuddling were a class, Teacher’s Pet would earn straight A’s. She was incredibly trusting from the moment she arrived in her foster home with her one-day-old puppies, happily allowing her foster family to care for both her and her babies.   Now that motherhood is becoming less demanding, her loving personality has only become more apparent. Teacher’s Pet follows her favorite people from room to room and believes that whenever someone sits down, the proper place for her is directly on top of them. Stop petting her and she will gently nudge your hand to remind you that the assignment is not yet complete.   Her most special talent is giving hugs. She will climb into your lap, place a front paw on each of your shoulders, and lean her whole little body into you. It is every bit as sweet as it sounds. She also welcomes strangers with wagging tails and kisses and seems to believe that every new person has arrived specifically to adore her.   Playtime and Classmates   Teacher’s Pet lives with two much larger dogs weighing approximately 35 and 55 pounds. She interacts well with both, although the older male generally prefers to observe the household commotion from a safe distance. Her younger female foster sibling is a favorite playmate, and the two enjoy racing through the house together when Teacher’s Pet gets her daily zoomies.   She remains playful with her puppies and has a few special favorites she loves to chase and pounce on. She also enjoys soft toys, appropriate chew bones, and is learning to play fetch. Her energy tends to arrive in cheerful bursts, followed by several hours of serious napping.   Teacher’s Pet has done wonderfully with her foster family’s children, ages 8 and 12, as well as visiting children as young as 6. She is friendly, gentle, and thrilled to receive attention from everyone.   Manners and Continuing Education   Teacher’s Pet is approximately 90% housetrained. Impressively, she has never had an accident while left alone during the day. Her occasional accidents happen when she is playing hard and seems to forget that she needs a break. She does not yet reliably signal when she needs to go out, but she is learning the word “outside” and will run to the back door when asked. A consistent potty schedule should help her complete her housetraining.   She has not needed to be crated in her foster home because she required access to her puppies, so crate training would be new to her. She knows “sit” and “down” and is ready to continue learning with a patient, consistent family.   Teacher’s Pet has not yet begun taking neighborhood walks due to her and her puppies’ vaccination status, but she clearly recognizes a harness and leash—and becomes wildly excited whenever the resident dogs are preparing for a walk. Her disappointment at being left behind is unmistakable!   She can occasionally guard food, chew toys, and even her favorite people from other dogs. Her adopters should be prepared to manage these situations responsibly and continue working with her using positive reinforcement.   Teacher’s Pet is also a surprisingly talented jumper. Despite her petite size, she can launch herself onto the kitchen table—even when the chairs are pushed in—and has occasionally been discovered conducting inspections of both indoor and outdoor tables. Her future family will need to keep food safely put away and help teach her that tables are for humans, not adventurous Pomeranians.   Coat and Grooming   Teacher’s Pet has a beautiful, fluffy Pomeranian coat. Routine brushing and grooming will keep her coat healthy and comfortable.   Her Forever Family   Teacher’s Pet would be a wonderful addition to a family ready for an affectionate, playful, people-centered companion. She loves children and would happily soak up the attention available in a busy household, but she could also thrive with an individual or couple looking for a devoted little shadow. She may enjoy having a compatible canine playmate, provided her family is willing to manage resources carefully.   After raising seven puppies with patience and love, Teacher’s Pet is ready to be someone’s baby. Meet Bon Bon & Coqueta! Bon Bon and Coqueta are a sweet and energetic mother and daughter pair looking for their forever home. They're currently living in a foster home and loving home comforts. They're both super attentive and affectionate and really love keeping their foster mom company at home, whether that's snuggling up on the couch or hanging out nearby on the floor while she works. They're easy to handle and have been great with bathing, brushing, wiping their paws after each walk, and getting leashed up. They're crate trained and potty trained and polite house guests who can entertain themselves at home with regular wrestling matches! Though they're treat motivated, they don't beg for human food and are polite when asking for affection. They're both quick learners and have learned "calm" before coming out of their crates and going in and out of doors. Bon Bon & Coqueta's foster mom told us: "They love walks and exploring and have plenty of energy for them. They also play with each other a lot and are very entertaining together. Their favorite toys right now are their rabbit ball and squeaky avocado toast. Bon Bon is incredibly sweet and affectionate and loves lying on her back, which is ridiculously cute. Coqueta can be a bit of a clown despite being the mom and is very entertaining!"
