Story
6 year old Rucker was an owner surrender at a local animal shelter. He was adopted right away but then the holidays came and all the family came to visit. Rucker a small little guy with lack of social skills was overwhelmed with guest and little ones running around. He should have been decompressing and getting comfortable in his new home, but instead got overwhelmed and scared and ended up biting his new owner. He went to another county shelter for his 10 day bite hold, the family decided that they would not be taking him back at the end of the hold. Rucker was marked rescue only.Rucker is adjusting to his new life in a foster home. He started off terrified of the other dogs, but has learned to tolerate a few of the smaller ones. With slow introductions, he could live in a home with other small dogs, but would do best in a home as an only dog. He is perplexed by cats, and not a fan of small children.  If we had to guess, Rucker probably lived his whole life with a single female without many visitors (people/animals). He thrives one on one, but not in a crowd. Once he knows you, he is good, but reserved around strangers.  Like a typical Pomeranian, he has a lot to say. We would not recommend him in an apartment, condo or other multi-family dewelling.  He walks well on leash, is crate trained and house trained.   adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms .To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##2617103##

Meet Kobi! Kobi is a funny 5 year old pom ( born on Halloween)  that prefers a more easy going life - one where he can devote himself to his person with every bit of love he has ! Kobi was raised as an only dog, a “covid dog” ..  it’s a term we hear too often, and it usually means a dog didn’t get all the socialization needed because of so many restrictions on us all in 2020.  He’s a GREAT dog and just hasn’t had many opportunities yet to be around a lot of dogs. We think he will be just fine with other dogs and we know cats aren’t an issue. But he loves his person so much we think he’d prefer being a world traveler with his new BFF! Kobi is looking for a relatively calm household with a tried and true Pom person and no children - teens and up only.   Interested in adopting sweet little Kobi? Story
Mitch is a 3 year old, 26 lbs pomeranian mix who is house broken and does not chew on belongings. We adopted Mitch 3 months ago from a shelter. He came to us with kennel cough which quickly turned to pneumonia. Mitch was at the vet for 2 weeks. But he pulled through and was given a clean bill of health. After Mitchs health returned it became clear that Mitch most likely faced abuse at his previous home and has aggression issues as a result. He loves to play fetch and tug of war. He loves to go on walks and car rides. He loves treats and want to be near you at all times. However, he seems to have triggers that have resulted in bite incidents. Mitch gets very nervous at night. Especially if there are loud noises. He does not like to be picked up. And does much better with men than with women. The crate appears to be a very big trigger for Mitch as well. We have been working with a trainer and a vet. Mitch would do well in a single male home that could give him time and patience.
